Everything has changed. First stop was FOOD at Neptune’s Restaurant. There is a brilliant panoramic view of the Grand Aquarium with lots of sharks, stingrays, turtles and more. As the Monopoly-themed Afternoon Tea Set is running until the 17th of April, I decided to try it which is sufficient for two. There was Lobster with Egg Mayo Sandwich, Ham and Cheese Sandwich, Sustainable Smoked Salmon and Abalone Quiche, Sausage Rolls, Mango Mousse Cake, American Cheesecake, assorted cookies, chocolate dice served with freshly brewed coffee or tea. I really liked the sandwiches and the quiche was interesting because they put abalone in it which took it to the next level. My friend had the 4-course showcase which were small portions of of the new signature dishes. The set had salad of Gravlax Salmon with Mustard Seed; Lobster Bisque, and a main course combo of Salmon Fillet, Stir-fried Australian Tiger Prawns with Spicy Garlic Salt and Crispy Rice in “Shelter Bay” Style and Signature Fried Rice with Abalone, Lobster & Scallop; Almond Mocha Éclair with freshly-brewed coffee or tea to finish. The salmon was delicate and flakey, while the prawn was tasty with bold spicy flavours.
For dessert the eclair had a nice coffee taste which rounded up nicely with the coffee.
