Booked a table here after seeing the photos of the beautiful and grand interior design on the Internet, but the meal turned out to be quite a disappointment. True that the design was pretty nice, but the restaurant is way too small and we were seated right in front of the fake fireplace so I couldn’t even move my chair when I had to go to the bathroom. Wild Mushroom Cheese Risotto ($138)
The best dish of the meal. Very cheesy and the risotto was appropriately cooked to give it a nice texture. And the portion was quite big.
Linguini Carbonara ($135)
The carbonara wasn’t as good though. Yhe sauce was too salty and the linguini was far from al dente.... simply too hard to be eaten.
Both the steak and porkloin below were really disappointing.
Grilled Angus Sirloin Steak- 10oz ($280)
It looked ok, but not in taste. The steak wasn’t juicy or tender enough. Definitely overcooked to almost medium well though I ordered medium rare. Simply not worth the price.
Grilled Spain Kurobuta Porkloin ($238)
Again, the potkloin was overcooked so it was dry and most parts were hard to chew.
hkfoodtour’s official verdict: Don’t be deceived by the grandiose photos on the Internet. Overpriced yet mediocre food.
