BAD FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE, DISHONEST MANAGEMENTI openly criticize this place and I advise everyone NEVER to go there!To all open rice readers: This is the first time I write a comment on Openrice but I feel obliged to do so because I have been CHEATED by this restaurant and never felt SO ANGRY and INSULTED in my dining experience before. I went to BBQ once 2 years ago when I was still studying in HKU. My previous experience at BBQ was TERRIBLE. My bf and I made around order on 9 different items

This is the first time I write a comment on Openrice but I feel obliged to do so because I have been CHEATED by this restaurant and never felt SO ANGRY and INSULTED in my dining experience before.
I went to BBQ once 2 years ago when I was still studying in HKU. My previous experience at BBQ was TERRIBLE. My bf and I made around order on 9 different items, ranging from $12 to $48 but only the expensive one came. We then realised that other customers who came much later than us yet ordered more expensive food had their food served immediately. In the end, after waiting for an hour with an empty tummy, we left BBQ only having 3 relatively more pricey items.
I decided to give this place another chance on Boxing Day this year so my bf and I made all the way to BBQ. When we looked at the order form, we were SHOCKED to realise that the pricing had increased TREMENDOUSLY. All the cheap items, like chicken wings, corn, beef balls (items priced $28 or below) were ALL GONE! There were only two forms for us to choose: Pink Form - with SEAFOOD and Yellow Form - with Non-seafood but they were all around $40 or above.
A FEMALE WAITRESS approached us and she was very eager in recommending us all kinds of seafood available. However, looking at the unreasonable pricing, we reluctantly ordered a plate of Ox Tongues ($48), Foie Gras on bread ($48) and Fried noodles ($38).
First, talk about the FOOD:
Ox Tongue - Only 8 Tongues for $48. Not worth it because they were far too salty. The presentation was fair to justify the unreasonable pricing.
Foie Gras on Bread - I read prevoius comments on openrice and many thought this food was good. I personally think it's way overrated. The foie gras was TOO THIN and SKINNY. Too much oil onto it. THEY SHOULD AT LEAST KNOW HOW TO COOK PROPERLY. No oil is required when cooking foie gras because the foie gras itself is already very fatty. The fact that the shop put excessive oil when cooking Foie Gras only made the food more GREASY and OILY. Disgusting!
Fried Noodles: I can only taste strong pepper and nothing else. It tasted horrible. But then, that was the only item with reasonable price.
As to the SERVICE:
the female waitress was RUDE once she realised we did not order any seafood and literally THREW the bowl of fried noodles onto the table and told us "this is your last item" and walked away.
when we settled the bill. we realised a table with older men were having corns and beef balls and they were provided with a WHITE ORDER FORM with all those cheap items to choose from.
So my bf asked, " how come we didn't have the white order form when we ordered."
the waitress dishonestly said " Because we do not offer these food at that time"
so my bf asked, "so when does the shop usually stop providing the food on the white form"
the waitress shamefully said, "we don't have a usual time but we stop providing those food on the white food when you came in because when there were too many customers"
but at that time, the restaurant, including the subsidiary one opposite to it, was only 1/3 full.
I knew the female waitress was LYING, because:
there was also a young couple who came in later and sat next to us. They were also deprived of the opportunity to order food from the white form.
YET
There were two tables, with older male customers, came much later than us but they were provided with got the white form. (The restaurant was only 1/3 full throughout the night)
In short.
This DISHONEST waitress was trying to BULLY young people whom she thought would be stupid enough to pay for every single expensive items on the only available forms and who would be too tumid to fight back once they realised they had been CHEATED.
NO. SHE'S WRONG!!!!!!
DISHONEST SHOP. I SHALL NEVER COME AGAIN.
