We have opted for the tasting menu which let the chef chose what to serve. Having been served 11 dishes of generally high quality, the set at $388 per person was considered very reasonably priced.

The croquettes had wonderfully creamy and rich fillings, contrasting with the thin crispy shell. What intrigued me the most was the earthy and savoury flavour that comes from the Iberico ham.

The beef cheek itself possesses good balance of fat and was nicely braised till fork-tender. The meat was not much seasoned and tasted quite beefy. As this is a rather heavy dish for me, serving it with pumpkin-coconut puree might be too much. It would be more to my liking if it is paired with something more refreshing.

The paella was served with the freshest seafood including king prawns, mussels and clams. The broth was also flavourful which tasted like ocean thanks to the essence from the seafood. However, grains are equally important for a paella and unfortunately, they are not well cooked in mine and a small part seemed quite undercooked.

The cheesecake tasted more milky than typical ones probably due to the use of manchego. The texture of the cheesecake was perfect – it was so creamy and would literally melt in your mouth. Pairing it with passionfruit was ingenious, balancing it with appropriate sweetness and acidity. Highly recommended.
