Little Creatures is always known for its old fashioned Australian service. And while the restaurant, where is set at the photogenic waterfront in Kennedy Town, continues to serve their most popular and house-brew beers, they are now offering a completely new Spring menu this month. Their name is inspired by the living yeast that activates to make beer.  The brined cheese made with goat’s and sheep’s milk is chopped and grilled serving on a bed of cherry tomatoes, mixed greens, with a light dressing seasoned with sumac.

 The lamb skewers are also very well seasoned, served with mint yogurt and tangy sumac onions. Some favourites are the hanger steak, which we requested for medium rare doneness and is cooked just perfectly juicy and tender; crab fettuccine, which is cooked excellently al dente, in a delicious and hearty seafood broth.

 A side dish of hand cut fries is also worth mentioning because it comes with a creamy and addictive truffle mayo that I absolutely adore!

 I could not leaving without getting a dessert. There are a few tempting ones including the pear tarte tatin with that remarkable pistachio ice cream, but I know it would be too big for two of us to share. So we opt for a coconut panna cotta which turns out to be a huge silky pudding with a scoop of homemade mango ice cream, chili mango salsa and toasted sesame seeds. It is very impressive!
All in all, food portion is surely big and I really enjoy the atmosphere. It is definitely a spot for big groups.
