My friend and I went to New Town Plaza for lunch, Watami was full so we proceeded to 7th floor and we went across this place.We were sceptical as it was quite quiet but it is the only place with space so we decided to try. I ordered the Tempura set, my friend ordered the udon salad. Initial Impressions
The atmosphere was quite nice and very quiet, which is good for chatting. We were given TWO CUPS OF HOT WATER UPON ARRIVAL and NO TEA, there was also no cutleries??
The waitress was also very sloppy, she ignored many times me after I asked for her help.
The Food
Wow! Possibly the worst food I have eaten in ages. The Udon salad is a joke, it was small, costs $48 (+10% service charge), it has some crab roe and crab stick. WTF? The sashimi wasn't fresh either.
The tempura set was better, the rice was of good consistency, the tempura was fine, the miso soup was fine.
However, the fried fish was not so fresh and smells, and the terreyake pork was willie funny, it tasted like "Low Shui"
Service
If there wasn't any service, then why was I charged 10%? Awful awful service.
I recommend you to go there if you want a quiet environment, but please, for god sake, do not order any food or drinks!
