The reward I got for bringing my little nugget to Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens this afternoon was an afternoon tea. Well, maybe not one but two.Our first stop was Meltlyplace, a French patisserie in Mid-Levels opened by Louie Ma, formerly the Executive Pastry Chef of Royal Garden Hotel and Fine Foods.Chef Ma has been in charge of Fine Foods for the past 8 years so not surprisingly, there're a lot of familiar faces here including the Meltlyplace Green Apple.The strawberry watermelon

This had the making of a really nice strawberry watermelon cake but the almond dacquoise (which tasted more like a sponge cake) and rose cream kind of let it down.
