~Celebrating New Year's Eve with PIZZA~My homies wanted to gather for New Year's Eve, but instead of going out, I told them to go to my place and we'd order pizza, because I wanted to avoid the crowd. Upon deciding where to order our pizza, I thought of Jack's Pizzeria because I had walked by a few times, and noticed that they offer different Take Out deals, so we decided to give it a try. My homies wanted to gather for New Year's Eve, but instead of going out, I told them to go to my place and we'd order pizza, because I wanted to avoid the crowd. Upon deciding where to order our pizza, I thought of Jack's Pizzeria because I had walked by a few times, and noticed that they offer different Take Out deals, so we decided to give it a try. Service:
When I walked in to order with my friend, we were greeted by the owner I guess? He was sincere in every way. He offered us a table and seat to look at the menu. When I told him I wanted the pesto pizza, he was honest and politely told me that he didn't recommend that for take out because pesto is oily and it owuld make our pizza soggy. I really appreciated his honesty.
Environment & Hygiene:
Although I was just in there for a while, it looked to me that the hygiene of the dinning area was good, but I don't know about the kitchen. Taste & Value:
As I mentioned above, they offer 4 different Take Out deals. If you buy 1 large(16") pizza, you can get the second large one for half the price.
1. Pizza Mexicana ($165)
Mozzarella Cheese, spicy chicken, onion, jalapeño, topped with sour cream, salsa and tomato sauce, (olives) that we omitted
To be honest, I wasn't too interested in this pizza. However, it was good. It was like eating a taco in a pizza form. I liked that there was some sour cream on each slice. The jalapeño peppers were nice on the pizza, giving it a kick without being overly hot. The chicken was a bit dry though. This pizza was recommended by the owner. 2. Pizza Supreme Deluxe ($82 because it was half off)
Mozzarella Cheese, ham, Italain Sausage, onion, pepperoni, tomato sauce, bell pepers (omitted)
This pizza seemed to have a lot of toppings, which was why we ordered it. It was weird how each slice just had a chopped up chunk of a sausage though. I think they could have been a little more generous on toppings for this pizza. In terms of taste, it was just like a regular tomato sauce-based pizza to me. It would have been even more tastier if there was more toppings. It was interesting that the ingredients on each slice were all very even. Their crust was thin, light and crispy, so it wasn't as heavy, which was kinda nice. Although I'm a thick crust person, I enjoyed theirs. Also, with the take out special, these 2 large pizza were quite a good deal I think.
Final Verdict:
I think the pizza was pretty good, maybe next time, I would try their pasta, since they do have a pizza & pasta deal as well.
