Ordinary dishes were ordered in a dinner gathering with 6 persons. Barbecued Peking duck: taste was normal, but the duck meat and the steamed flour sheets were cold, possibly put aside for a long time. Never came across in other restaurants. Steamed chicken wrapped in lotus leaf: charged at a high price of $155, but there were only 8 pieces of small chicken slice, almost half of them were bone ribs.
Sauteed shrimp with egg white on rice nest($140): the mouthfeel of egg white was excellent when the food was still hot; there were many pieces of shrimp, but none gave fresh taste. Not worthy as typical housewife could prepare better at home.
Braised tofu cubes with salted fish ($120): juicy and yummy, used a lot of edible oil for cooking. Hard to consume without a bowl of plain rice.
Fried bitter gourd with minced meat on egg ($125): normal and taste like domestic feel. Not worthy the price.
Stirred fried water spinach with chili and preserved tofu ($98): again, normal and taste like domestic feel. Worth $60 at most.
Plain rice: $15/bowl
Tea: $13/person
Overall comments: Dishes were terribly tiny. Service was bad. When we were still sitting down, a waitress rushed repeatedly to ask about our tea choice persuading us to order some kind of specialized tea charged $80. We refused. Within a very short while, she came back and repeatedly recommended set dinner courses charged over $2000 each. We also refused. This is not a fast food restaurant. Patrons have the right to order a la carta, right? Unfortunately, the serving speed was extremely slow. The dishes were tabled one by one at intervals of about 10 to 15 minutes. This gave us the impression that priority was accorded to set courses, but a la carta were discriminated.
