We, my souldmate and I was just strolling along on Sunday looking for some chow, since it was mother's day, we just picked this because there was seating available.
Well, it is an "Oyster" bar...so that what we had. Forget the sushi! forget the risotto...it is not a bloody Japanese restaurant nor are the owners Italians

We preferred our choice and started with:
Kumamoto, (
forgot! ) , Tasmania, Fin d'clare - 2 each,
...small break.. cleared our pallets with their house white - a Chilean.
now, time for two jumbo oysters -one each, 2 different jumbos including a Black pearl.
...more break and small talk...washed down with 2 cherry stone clams.
We then took the recommendation for a whole dungeonese crab (1.2kg).
Not that you want to read our course menu...so, here it is
the oysters were fresh - (expected from an oyster bar), no cracked shell pieces, no sand, our choices were a tad salty, but not unexpected.
the clams were so-so, despite the fact that cherry stones are constantly being recommended for fresh intake, I'd still prefer dropping 2 fresh ones into a nice bowl of Bostonian clam chowder but that's personal.
the crab, again, not bad, not good, just right I guess.
Grand finale - half a pack of Hokkaido Uni. We chucked out the cucumber they placed the uni on - totally blanded the taste.
Temperature of the seafood served were good, preparation were acceptable.
A note worth mentioning was the waitress actually let us tasted the house white *gasp*. Not only that! when we said we would take the house white, she opened a new bottle. I must say, a rare gesture from a Chinese run restaurant. ( no offense in the generalization).
Ambiance was a bit dark and we'd prefer a merrier environment. Strange Japanese artifacts lying haphazardly across the oyster bar - mind boggling. My mate found the incense they burned there suffocating.
Someone else mentioned the waiter(s) being pushy and we must agree.
Well, all and all, we went in there for oysters, we came out full of oysters and a few extra hundred grams of collesterol. We didn't try their entre mainly because we find the offerings too mix mashed.
We also agree with some of the comments - price tag was slightly high for a local joint.
enjoy! and if you try this place and don't like their entre - blame yourself and don't flame the restaurant.
