Kennedy town has been developing into the “it” spot in the past few years, new restaurants have come and gone but this one remains, for good reasons if you ask me. This cozy little place is easy to miss, but once you have tried their rotisserie chicken and their fish and chips, you will always want to come back.First, the view. This tiny place is oceanfront, you are literally eating right next to the sea. There are no windows either, just open to the sea, I love it, it reminds me of Australia.
First, the view. This tiny place is oceanfront, you are literally eating right next to the sea. There are no windows either, just open to the sea, I love it, it reminds me of Australia. They have a table right at the door facing out looking at the ocean, on a nice day you can just grab a beer and enjoy the stunning Tsing Ma Bridge. Life is good.
Another thing that reminds me of Australia is their fish selection (they have Barramundi!!) and mushy peas! It is so hard to find mushed peas in Hong Kong!
Their battered fish is done very well here as it is fresh, and batter is just right, not too thick and not too flavored, topped with flakey sea salt, lemon on the side. Chips… could be better, but the fish is the key for me.

Rotisserie chicken is top notch to die for. I would recommend getting the whole chicken, it is not that big, and I could easily finish it between 3 people on top of the fish and chips as well. The chicken comes out of the rotisserie oven and straight onto your plate! The shop smells so good because of it. Chicken comes out hot, juicy (literally dripping) and so tender, even the chicken breast is tender and juicy! Most of the fat dripped out as oil in the rotisserie oven so only a thin layer of chicken skin is left, and it was seasoned very well, I ate all the skin! We devoured it while it was hot, I barely managed to get this picture! XD The sides are good too, sweet corn, mash potatoes, mushrooms etc., all served with good portions to share.
One thing to note: we were told that we have to finish the food here and whatever we do not finish, we could not take it away. This policy baffled me at first, so I asked the waitress why and she explained that is because they offer discounts for Openrice bookings, which can be up to 50% during certain time slots, so they implemented this policy to prevent customers from ordering a ridiculous amount of food and taking 90% of them away at half price. That reason never crossed my mind but that makes so much sense after she explained it.
I like this place; I can always count on them for a hearty meal with good qualities.
