Came here for dinner with boyfriend after watching a movie and we had never really had dinner here. Previously, we came here for something sweet so we tried out dinner here. As it was a weekday, it was not as busy as the weekend which made it a much more relaxing meal.On the chalkboard, they have sets that include a coffee or tea or you can upgrade by adding a certain amount of money for their special drinks.  Jumbo Style French Croissant with Egg Mayo Crayfish ($128). Last time we came, I saw someone having this and it looked good. So, this time around I tried this. It tasted as good as it looked. The croissant was buttery, crispy and warm. It was sandwiched with a really nice amount of crayfish and egg salad. It was served with crispy fries and a truffle mayo for dipping. The truffle mayo was strong in truffle flavor and oddly worked with the fries even though I'm a ketchup all the way kind of girl.

 Duck Confit And Waffle ($158). I decided to try this as it seemed to be highly recommended by many past reviews. When one thinks of waffles, I really don't think to pair it up with duck. But then waffles is often paired up with fried chicken in the USA, so why not duck? The duck and waffles were served with a sunny side up egg and some pancake syrup for the waffles. It felt very breakfast-like. The waffles had a nice crunchy yet soft texture I like. The duck confit was alright. It fell off the bone and was extremely tender.

 As the dinner sets included a coffee or tea, we decided to upgrade $22 for milkshakes as last time we came, we tried the smoothies. So milkshakes this time!

Green Tea Milkshake ($22). Thick and rich with a nice light green tea taste. There was also a scoop of green tea ice cream on top. Quite ok.

 Strawberry Milkshake ($22). The taste of strawberries was not as strong but this was a thick milkshake that I liked. There was also a scoop of strawberry ice cream in it. I think I liked the green tea one more.

 While eating, we noticed there were two new dessert items. They had alcoholic ice cream based desserts and oolong creme brulee. Price was $78 each. Interested, we finished dinner with dessert.

 Strawberry Margarita with Strawberry Rum Ice Cream ($78). This was really really good and very strong alcoholic taste. The ice cream was a strawberry rum that had a very strong alcoholic taste. It was topped with sweet berry compote and a edible paper butterfly. Under the ice cream was a layer of chocolate curls and biscuits that were also soaked with rum. For those that love alcohol based desserts, this is really for you.

 Oolong Tea Creme Brulee ($78). This came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a chocolate biscuit on top. It had a perfectly caramelized sugar coating that cracked like ice when I hit my spoon on it. The dessert was creamy and well set. There was a strong taste of oolong that cut away the sugary taste. Really nice.

 Relaxing evening with a friendly staff who chatted like it was your regular neighbourhood cafe. Something that is what Tai Hang is all about. The new desserts were pretty good and I'll return again to try out the other ones.
