Ronin Japanese cuisine has just opened for just few weeks in central.
Let's try something new~
Up in the restaurant, it is a neat and spacious environment. With lots of the ronin's artwork,
Just like passing through a history story.
We first order 5 types of fresh organic tomatoes served in plum jelly dressing $110
The outlook is so sharp and beautiful.
The textures and tastes of each tomato are different. Some are smooth and sweet while some are solid and a bit sour.
For the second appetiser,
Sea urchin, poached egg and salmon roe with homemade jelly dressing $100
The urchin is so fresh and full of texture. With the smoothly poached egg, the sweet soy soup jelly can even raise the taste and the freshness of the whole dish. This one is so special.
We ordered three kinds of sashimi, halibut, yellow tail hamachi and botan ebi.
The sashimi's texture are so amazing. It was soft and fresh. After we bite it, it will melt right inside our mouth!!
Deep fried garden lettuce stem stuffed with surimi $120
It just use a thin layer of the lettuce stem and roll it over a piece of surimi then deep fried it.
It was so yummy and crispy. It can the texture of tempura while at the same time it can keep the freshness of the surimi.
This dish would even served three different kind of salt
It get spicy, green tea and citrus salt. I like the citrus salt most as it can raise the freshness of the fish.
For the main dish, grilled wagyu steak served with BBQ sauce $ 340
The wagyu steak is right at the medium rare texture. It is so juicy and smooth. With the removal of all the steak tendon, the steak can even melt inside the mouth. While steak taste and oil are all exploded inside my mouth. The mushroom can absorb all the steak oil and their taste.
For the last one, it is Kama meshi with pine mushroom $330
The matsutake get a wonderful aromatic odor.
This night is so wonderful. I wish I can come to ronin again soon.
