The place was quiet one a Friday night. Probably due to the fact it was new. But seating was spacious and not cramped. It was fairly clean as well.

Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. You order by checking off items on the menu. A basic bowl starts at $38. You choose the type of noodle and soup base. What else you want in it is price dependent.

They had a sandwich, drink and noodle set for $65. I was really interested in the sandwiches but apparently, they weren't available that day. Pretty sad as I am REALLY interested in the sandwiches.

On the table was a tray of seasonings: soysauce, chili oil and numbing Sichuan chili peppers.

To be prepared for the spicy, we ordered drinks. Ice milk tea and ice lemon tea. Priced at $16 each, there was no discount after we ordered food.  Drinks were ok. Nothing to rave about.

Boyfriend ordered the Signboard Spicy Hot Pot with a small amount of spicy and numbing Sichuan pepper. He  chose oil noodles ($12) with seaweed ($7), fried yuba ($10) and secret recipe beef ribs ($17). When it arrived, you can really smell the spices. Boyfriend felt it was pretty spicy even though he requested  a small amount. It had a slight numbing sensation as well. Though it was spicy, the soup was fragrant and well textured. He drank everything. The noodles were chewy and smooth. The toppings he chose soaked up the soup well. The beef ribs were moist and tender.

I couldn't handle spicy. I was grateful they had a nonspicy version as originally I wanted a sandwich. I chose the nonspicy tomato soup ($37) with Yunnan rice noodles ($12) topped with water spinach ($7), fried tofu ($7) and secret recipe pork belly ($16). The tomato soup was rich and rich in tomato flavor. Though it wasn't the thick kind, it was still ok. The tofu puffs were really good. Most places are just hollow or hard shells of puffs. But this still had the soft tofu inside.

The pork belly was incredible. Thickly cut and literally fell apart. It was that soft and tender. The marinate used was rich and well seasoned.

Pretty good noodles with  great soup base. Especially good if you can eat spicy. I hope they have sandwiches soon as I want to try that next time.
