Recently Dining City and Whisk collaborated and there are a limited number of reservations that can enjoy a discounted price for the Taste of Finesse menu. The 6 course dinner was originally priced at 980 and the discount tonight was down to 690. However, I have to say the dinner is superb even at the original price.The bread was already a great start. The bread was already a great start. The sourdough brioche was totally heavenly and their butter not only had some caviar on top but they actually added orange and mentaiko. You can finish the bread quite easily with this butter and most people just need to beware not to spoil your appetite(people who know me my appetite is quite large, HAHA)

The Tomato dish was a combination of the fukuoka tomato, tomato granita and champagne jelly. This dish was able to remind me tomatoes are actualy fruits, not vegetables. It was really sweet and the tartness actually came from the granita. Definitely a winning appetizer.

The  eggplants were prepared both as pieces and also as a puree with the prawn inside where the light and soft eggplants contrasted with the springy and rich prawn.

The lobster two ways came and I think they accidentally thought I wanted to add Uni to it(this should require an extra charge but they didn't charge me)

For this dish, the lobster matched the uni and the lobster matched the lobster bisque. However, the lobster bisque did not match the uni as the strong flavor of the bisque did not work with the sweetness of the uni. I think try to avoid the bisque when you have the Uni.

The deep fried lobster was beautifully presented and the fried batter on top was really thin and not oily at all.

The guinea fowl was tender and juicy on its own and the bell pepper sauce had just the right amount of spiciness without being overpowering.

The first dessert was the Peach which they prepared both as the fruit and a sorbet. The hibiscus and rose jelly at the bottom also made the dessert much more aromatic and highlighted the sweetness of the peach.

Their finale was just as impressive. Besides chocolate, puff also had miso to it and they had balanced the sweetness and the savoriness perfectly.
Service was attentive and each dish was introduced in detail. Totally worth it even for the original price.
