Drove all the way here from Yuen Long to have dinner with friends. Very far, but worth the distance! This restaurant belongs to my friends' friend and she recommended for us to try it. We ordered hot pot but also got to try some appetizers, dishes and drinks. Didn't take a lot of photos though.The tomato seafood soup base was flavourful and fresh! The tomato seafood soup base was flavourful and fresh! Was excellent for hot pot and drinking. I am personally a big fan of tomato and dislike the restaurants which use packet tomato flavouring instead of fresh tomatoes. This was excellent. The beef was also great, fat enough and good texture. In fact, all the ingredients for the hot pot was fresh and tasty. The udon deserves a thumbs up - it had excellent texture, very chewy!
We also ordered their signature steamed crab with wine. I have never tried crab served this way before. The wine brought out the freshness of the crab and it wasn't heavy at all. It was freshly steamed so when it came, it was very hot and yummy! The leftover sauce we used to pair with the udon and enjoyed it a lot.
The restaurant also served us a lychee cocktail (but in shot glasses haha) which was so delicious! They soak a jar of fresh lychees in some alcohol then serve it with the drink. Yum!
In terms of service, (although biased because my friend was there) was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was quite small, but there were two TVs to watch whilst hot-potting and the place was bright, clean and comfortable. Simple place with fresh, real food especially seafood! NOT BIASED!
