Originally planned a visit to the crystal jade restaurant in the same shopping arcade and went here simply for a quick dinner as there are some 50 person waiting for seats in the aforementioned restaurant. Ordered a set for three priced at 990. Added:Roasted black cod with saikyo misoangler fish livergrilled ox tongue Salad with italian dressing and smoked salmoncrisp greens with a light italian dressing. Served with salmon with sprinkled pepper. Above average presentation. Though I would.prefer

Sashimi (4types)
The hamachi is excellently prepared. Salmon fatty and aromatic. Octopus could be more fresh. The meguro could be improved.
Crab meat grilled inside crab shell
Nicely prepared. Very nice aroma. It is however more oily than desired. The excessive oiliness could be partially mitigated with some english mustard....
Sakura roll
so-so sushi roll. the rice is very compressed and lack texture.
Hiroshima oyster cutlet
average only. The breading was separating from the oyster. The dish was otherwise okay.
King scallop teppanyaki
that is prepared in a white wine sauce if my palate serves me well. Nice scallop but could be better seasoned.
Angus beef roll
Nice beef cooked to perfection.
Fried rice
Bacon bits inside, dry enough but I would have preferred more intact rice. As many have mentioned fresh rice is the best ingredient for fried rice. I wonder if they have used old rice which is a urban legend...
Roasted black cod with saikyo miso
It's good. They could have marinated the fish for longer though.
angler fish liver
Nicely done and is accompanied with spicy radish sauce.
grilled ox tongue
This, curiously is the "dish of the day". It is thick enough to retain the texture, lightly salted and peppered to bring out the goodness of the ox tongue. In my humble opinion this resturant did better even when compared to gyutan specialist shops like Negishi in japan.
