Hk style zhajiang noodle is quite different from the shanghai style or the taiwan style. Using mainly the chilli bean spicy sauce and tomato sauce, the mixed sauce will be on the chilli side. Having distinct sweetness and chilli on palate, the experience was being describe by others as chilli version of sweet and sour sauce. Using sliced pork fillet and HK egg noodle, this dish does reflect the typical HK zhajiang noodle style. Pork is quite fresh and typical chewy texture. Normally comes with a soup (which is not in the picture), is however, a bit too heavy on white pepper.
A very typical hk style zha jiang noodle with interior design reflecting 80s-90s of Hong Kong.
