Today we tried out a new restaurant which we believe will soon become the talk of the town. Walking through the entrance across a hip bar we were led to a gem hidden behind sliding doors. Amazing how omakase setting on the side merges seamlessly with the dark lighting and luxurious décor demonstrating restrained opulence. The vibrant japanese rap playing at the back awakened our senses and created just the right ambience.We started off with refreshing cocktails to dispel the early summer heat -
We started off with refreshing cocktails to dispel the early summer heat - one of the perks you seldomly get when you dine in a conventional omakase restaurant.
Next came our sumptuous feasts of 13 and 9 pieces omakase sets which were truly decadent. Each piece was mindfully prepared and they were mixed with sauces and side ingredients which were so spot-on. It is a testimony to the technique of the chef. No regret we entrusted this meal in his hands. And I cannot go without mentioning of course the o-toro which melted in the mouth, proving its superior quality beyond doubt. Another pleasant surprise was the hearty but lavish chawanmushi with lobster on top drowned in lobster bisque sauce, surely a must-try
Perhaps an unusual finale, even the cappuccino was impeccably made to taste. How exciting to find an avant-garde omakase place in town which we will certainly frequent in future.
