8 girls had a birthday dinner at La Mer last night. We requested the dinnet set menu few wks ago and found it attractive ($398 for a 5-course meal with wine). So we made a booking.Last night, we went and found that they changed the menu and the price increased to $498 (25% increase!)! We were not informed before.Anyway, we stayed and ordered. Anyway, we stayed and ordered. All the hot food came first, even before the bread and salad. The salad came last. All the food came within 20mins like a fast food shop. The whole table was occupied by food like a mess!
We prepared 12 cup cakes for the birthday girls and La Mer requested an extra cake charge of $500 because it's a SPECIAL cake!! (Normal cake charge is only $100). After some negotiation, we had a deal of $100 cake charge as their SPECIAL OFFER! We were pissed off.
At last, we were over-charged 2 extra bottles of evian water too!
We will NEVER go there again!
