Now I'm on a mission of conquering all the Froyo shops in Wan Chai district!(OK I'm nearly there...more reviews coming up...)The 1st stop was Yogurtime. When I first entered the shop it was empty. Not a soul inside. I thought the shopkeeper was invisible (sorta creepy as Halloween is drawing near
). Well, she only came out from the curtains when there was a (potential) customer.

You can try the flavors before you buy. There is one special flavor of the day that differs from shop to shop. And on this particular day in this particular branch, it was Chocolate Mint. I tried and found it quite agreeable...initially. And so I had a Medium cup ($30 with 1 free topping) of Chocolate Mint and coupled it with Yogurtime's signature Euro Tart (Original) flavor. For the topping I picked Toasted Coconut.

I thought my $30 was well worth (for this particular visit) as the portion was really generous! I thought it was like 1.5 times the usual amount (as in my 2nd visit, see below)...so if you want a bargain go for a double flavor, haha!
Well Euro Tart lived up to its name of being "tart" in flavor, which essentially means sourness as far as yogurt is concerned. The tasting portion of Chocolate Mint was fine but when it came to a whole swirl I found it a bit hard on me. Maybe an aversion to After Eights was to blame. But actually it wasn't that minty after all but the chocolate side was dominant. The other thing was that the Froyo here melts rather quickly and soon my hands were covered in melted Froyo.
I liked the cripsy toasted coconut though.

On a subsequent visit I had Vanilla Froyo plus Strawberries (Medium $30). As mentioned the portion of Froyo was slightly smaller, and it melted even more quickly than what I had last time. Texture-wise, it resembled sorbet rather than softee ice-cream or Froyo per se, but the "cute" vanilla aroma made up for it. The strawberry bits looked and tasted that they had been insufficiently thawed frozen stuff - a bit crunchy!

And after I'd bought my Froyo I was given a stamp card which entitled me a free Froyo every 9 stamps I collected for each Froyo purchase. But I wasn't given one the first time I came. Strange.
