There was some toy fair in the Shau Kei Wan area and boyfriend wanted to go. We met here for lunch before heading over. Boyfriend had the beef brisket with squid ball noodles ($47). The beef brisket was really soft. Literally melted in your mouth type of soft. It had a nice strong beef taste as well. The squid balls were very firm and bouncy.
I had their signature chives fish ball and fish cake noodles ($42). The fish balls were a bit disappointing despite how much they said it was the best thing ever. It wasn't. It was ok. The balls were too over powered by the chives and were a bit too soft and soggy for my liking. The fish cakes, on the other hand, were really good. Packed with fish taste and firm to bite into. I also got vegetables. That was a nice touch. I wonder why boyfriend didn't get one?
It was filling enough and the food was pretty good. The chives fish ball was a bit over rated but the rest was fine. A good enough meal to fill you up. There was no discount on drinks upon ordering something unlike most other places. That was a bit expensive, I thought.
