I came here with a colleague on X'mas eve for lunch. We had previously past the restaurant and seen the set menu, and heard good things about the branch in Kennedy Town.I had the tomato and seafood soup to start. It was pleasant, but the bits of seafood sprinkled on top added nothing to the flavour. My main was the fish of the day. It was a large portion set on top of mash potato. It was the most dissapointing dish! The fish, I think, was meant to be slightly fried yet it was sloppy, the mustard

The fish, I think, was meant to be slightly fried yet it was sloppy, the mustard sauce was very average and the fish was not fresh.
My friend had the tuna salad which she said was delicious. This was followed by a small portion of duck rissotto. When compared to the fish dish the rissotto looked small in comparison.
Against the competition the food at Bistronomique was dissapointing. There are better set lunches to be had in Central/Soho for similar prices.
