We have been long customers of this restaurant, the food is normally below ok, not even standard.Tonight we went there for "Do East" (Jo Dong) and we ordered the 6 - 8 person meal (costing HKD1688)We have the 6 cold dish, Spicy Prawn, Shark Fin Soup, Sweet and Sour Fish and "Lin Go" Shanghai Style, Oil Cooked Chicken and Red Bean Pastry desert.The 6 cold dish is normal, northing special, the "Hoi Chik Tau" is cut into very large pieces and hard to eat. The Shark Fin soup is normal, but much thicker than that of other restaurant, not a lot of ingredients though.
Prawn is good
Fish is very very bad, the fish is dead for a long time, the meat is going off and also the "Shan Fun" is not cooked well, still uncook in the bottom.
"Lin Go" is damn rubbish, it is either cooked very very badly or the "Lin Go' itself is rubbish.
Chicken is very very small and was only given half a chicken to share between 6 to 8 people, what are they thinking????
The best bit (Sarcastic!) is the desert, each person got a tiny piece (size of two fingers) of Red Bean Pastry.
To be honest, I paid HKD1688 for this, I was expecting a whole lot better and a lot more food. The quality of food is poor, service is mediocre and queue is very very long (even though we booked), the seating is cramp.
I honestly do not recommend it. IT IS VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD!!!!
