At first I didn't really want to come here.... there didn't seem to be many people even during lunch hour, a sign that it might not be good? Also, I wanted to have asian food but I let my friend decide. Looking at the menu, there was a 'festive lunch set' but for two courses at 150 without service and such limited choice, I could have done much better in other restaurants upper soho.
In the end, I ordered:
Mushroom soup
salmon leggera pizza
The mushroom soup came with a large drizzle of truffle oil....after mixing it in and tasting it, it didn't taste of truffle at all...just wild mushrooms..... NOT worth $50
The pizza took a long time than I expected, especialy since other people seated after me had already been served their pizzas....
ANYWAY the verdict of the pizza?
ACCEPTABLE in taste, but not worth it for $110. This came nothing like the picture. Yes there was a whole with salad in the middle and drizzles with a reasonable balsamic, but the pizza itself was not that special. It could have used more smoked salmon, cherry tomatoes, zucchini etc. The pizza looked like a very thing piece of bread baked with a very thin layer of pizza sauce and a couple slices of salmon CUT in thirds and very thin layer of cheese. You would think that for this little amount of ingredients used plus the uninspired taste, it should only cost half of the regular pizzas.... i.e. under $70...
Would recommend DaddyOs for pizzas rather than here....
I ate 3 slices and left the others as they got cold....
