Metal Steak is an interesting concept in that you are charged for the weight of the steak, type of steak and how you well you want it. Seriously ... come on? I was raised in cattle country. Menu is in Englsh and Chinese. You basically choose what type of steak you want, how many grams and how well it should be done. Adding $30 will upgrade you to a set which includes rice, salad and soup. Drink is extra. You order at a window in the wall where they will weigh out your steak and give you a sticker much like something you would find at a butcher shop. You then take it to the cashier and pay. They will bring the food to you when it's finished cooking.

They give you a paper apron to wear when your meat appears because it's actually placed on a sizzling hot plate.

Tiger Shrimp and Spanish Iberico Pork Rack ($238 + $30 for set upgrade). I chose this as my meal. I requested the pork to be a medium and it was a bit under cooked so I had to heat it up a bit longer on my hot plate. The pork was tender. The shrimp was ok and tasted quite fresh. There was also corn niblets and onions grilling on the plate as well. Set upgrade includes a soup, rice and salad. Salad was ok. The soup was a tomato soup and tasted pretty good.

OMI A4 Rib Eye ($2/gram we chose 300 grams which came out to $692). Boyfriend and I shared this, too. We chose a medium rare and it was a a perfect medium rare. Meat was tender and not over cooked. However, the fat rim of the steak was not rendered properly so it was just one big piece of fat. Taking that off, it wasn't exactly 300  grams of all meat. I think we took off a good 100 grams of unrendered fat. For this price, you can probably get a much better steak at some place like Morton's.

Wine ($39) and Soft Drink ($15). Drinks came in a mini size and this is not included in a set. The wine is ... well ... what you'd expect from a can but we ordered it because yes ... it was from a can. The Fanta is the mini Japanese size ones.

Staff was helpful in suggesting how much meat to order and place is very tidy. Food tastes fine but pricewise, I would have a real steak experience at a nicer steak house. Of course, those places also have 10% service charge and this place doesn't. It's more geared for more "fast food" experience so if you think of it this way, then this place is for you.
