HEXA has been on my bucket list for a really long time, and I finally had a chance to go when my Canadian cousin came to visit us this week.We were thrilled to be seated by the large windows where we could sit comfortably indoors while appreciating the killer view of the Victoria Harbour. We started with some BBQ Pork, which was excellently made and seasoned with honey sauce. The pork was super tender with no chewy parts at all. The size of the pork pieces was also good as you could take it in one bite.

1. King Prawns Dual
I personally preferred the prawns coated in salted egg yolk to those with mango purée. The salted egg yolk tasted delicious while not being excessively salty. The king prawns were grand in size and you could tell they’re very fresh!

2. Black Cod
This is one of their signatures and also my cousin’s fav. Extremely tender and smooth back cod flavored with yuzu, giving it a refreshing sour flavor while eliminating any fishy taste that the fish should have. The small yuzu pieces on the side also added to the layers of the dish. Excellent!

3. Sea urchin rice
This bowl of rice was probably one of the best fusion dishes I’ve ever had! First, the sea urchin was super fresh, so it carried a ting of natural sweetness of sea urchin, and the rice was very well flavoured to make it moist and tasty. And even though it’s moist, we still managed to taste every single one of the rice, giving it an extremely layered texture.

4. Mixed vegetables
This bowl of mixed veggies and fungus was ordered by my mum and she loved it very much. All the veggies were of high quality and the portion was quite big.

5. Fried noodles with Minced crab meat
This is in fact a super Chinese dish. As you can see, there was a large amount of minced crab meat on top of the noodles and the noodles were nicely fried to give it an elastic and dry texture, without being excessively greasy.

After sitting indoor for the food, we moved to the outdoor area to enjoy some desserts and cocktails. With a panoramic view of the Victoria Harbour, I’d recommend HEXA for a high quality fusion dinner and/or a drinks night with friends!✨
