Went for a late dinner. Cozy little cafe atmosphere. Went specially as this is one of a shrinking number of restaurants which serve a local dish of deep fried shrimps which have been battered in two different eggs (chicken and duck). Two more dishes were ordered. One of the other dishes was garlic battered pork bits. This turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Not too oily, but the garlic, I was happy to find out, was not salty (which is often the case when I try dishes like this). But this is no

The double-egg shrimp dish was quite nice indeed. As usual for local cuisine, the shrimp were battered and cooked with exoskeleton - in order to improve taste. The mixture of two different eggs give a nice complex flavour to the shrimp; and they were not oily; but rather tender inside. Quite delicious and recommended.
The other dish was greens with beef slices. This was also a pleasant surprise as it had a hint of charcoal flavour too it. Almost like it was char-broiled. The beef could have been a bit more tender, though. The greens made up for the beef's deficit.
Pity the server was not more attentive to non-beer requests (beer provided swiftly; tea not so).
題外話/補充資料:
Great that there are still places - albeit well hidden - that serve up local delicacies.
As usual, no disincentivization for (other) patrons who choose to smoke within the restaurant).
