Our group’s preference covered the whole spectrum of red wine: some preferred sweet and fruity, while the others preferred dry with strong tannin.
This bottle was perfectly balanced for the two extremes:
🔹 the fragrance first off gives a heavy fruity flavour
🔹 however when you taste it, the flavour profile is completely different from its aroma - first it was dry, then it transforms to a fruity profile, with a tang of smokiness and hint of blackcurrant berries.
This bottle of red is quite special. The grape Nebbiolo originated from the Piedmont region or Italy. However, this grape has been brought over to Australia and grown there locally.
Quite an interesting red. However we think the flavour is not quite worth its price tag. Overall an above average red!
我哋叫咗一枝紅酒去配紅肉同芝士,但在座都有唔同嘅偏好,有人鍾意fruity啲,有人鍾意dry啲,侍酒師就介紹咗呢枝由Nebbiolo釀成嘅紅酒。Nebbiolo原產自意大利,但之後被拎去澳洲種植,呢枝酒就係用喺澳洲種植嘅Nebbiolo醲成。一開始飲落會覺得佢偏dry,但之後慢慢會感受到佢嘅果香果味,完全配合到當晚唔同人嘅口味。而因為佢味道係偏重,所以配紅肉同芝士係好適合,不過當晚餐廳提供嘅芝士老實講係幾普通,甚至唔係幾好食……有少少覺得浪費咗枝酒。

Right after the champagne is poured out, you can already smell the intense and fresh aroma. Perfect match with its beautiful golden colour ✨
As you taste it, an explosion of flavours: first notes of citrus, then followed by some core fruits. A mouthful of freshness, and a very long finish.
Every second of a sip gives you an amazing experience of its freshness all over again.
🍽️ We paired this bottle of champagne with caviar and seafood.
當日侍酒師介紹咗呢枝香檳,一開已經香得好緊要,飲落果味好香,雖然佢酸度比較高,但果味好香好清爽,好平衡,配合魚子醬同其他海鮮食唔單止令食物感覺更fresh,酒香亦更明顯。由開瓶到飲完個香味一直都好濃,每一啖飲落口個香味都留喺口好耐。
