When the sun is still shining come dinnertime, we headed over to this restaurant nearby the Cha Kwo Ling/ Kwun Tong promenade, which instantly brought me back to the Australian casual dining scenes. A pyramid stack of Shelter chicken wings, served extremely hot with crumbles of typhoon shelter fried garlic chilli pepper mix. Finger-licking good, very crispy and addictive.

葡式香辣燒春雞
Roast whole peri-peri spring chicken, which is their signature. The chicken was juicy and succulent, rubbed with spices and marinated with secret recipe overnight, before being roasted on an open flames custom designed rotisserie. Fragrant and meaty, definitely a winner.

Chicken salt fries, on the side. Have my highest commendation please, because these fries were SUPERB. Thick cut, covered in chicken salt, and really crunchy. Each stick was perfect, the taste reminded me of an elevated version of the cajun seasoning. Sweet ketchup and a tangy mustardy paprika-coloured dipping sauce to go with your potatoes, I love the latter A LOT. These fries are top-notch.

燒大蝦三文魚籽龍蝦汁扁意粉
King prawn linguine, finally a dish other than chicken. The pasta was cooked in a rich creamy lobster bisque with sweet onions. On the top, a pan-seared fresh king prawn loaded with popping salmon roes. So delicious and satisfying.
p.s. Their baked pizzas and extensive drink menus are very popular as well. Birthday songs on stereo available too.
