A new branch in the neighborhood, definitely worth the walk up the hill We came for dinner on a Saturday night and waited for 20 mins to get seated. They don’t accept reservations, but you can grab a drink while waiting, vibing with the hip music 🎶. They were playing mainly 90s and 00s Hip Hop and R&B music🎵 Right up my alley. As it was our first visit, we ordered the Fat Beats Menu (HK$ 348 p.p.) which was a selection of dishes from the chef. We got to try many different signature items You could make food requests and also add an extra HK$150 p.p. for free-flow beer & sake for 90 minutes.🍶🍺
Chef selection included:
- Karaage 🍗
- Fried Squid 🦑 (on my request)
- Rap and Rolls Hamachi 🐟
- Tuna Hotdog 🌭
- Wagyu Beef 🥩 Tartare roll
- Soft Shell Crab Handroll 🦀
- Salmon Avocado Handroll 🥑
- Poppin Ice-cream 🍦
- Fried Banana 🍌

Our favorites were: Wagyu beef tartare roll, Rap and Rolls Hamachi, Salmon avocado handroll and Poppin Ice-cream
The Wagyu beef tartare roll was mind-blowing! It tasted like a twist on Korean kimchi sauce and kimbab. The Hamachi was fresh with a flavorful ponzu and a kick from the jalapeño. The Poppin ice-cream was very unique with popcorn and olive oil.
Dinner for 2 people (with 1 Free Flow) was: HK$ 941.
Overall, such a fun & cool place for casual Japanese fusion food. Good selection of unique handrolls. Excellent value. Highly recommend it!
