📍SOMM It is always enjoyable to be back at SOMM for HH/light dinner. Their wine selection is superb. First time trying their summer menu and it was quite a surprise! Very bold flavors which I enjoyed! The Grilled Octopus was very tender with a strong charred taste. The sauce was Fermented Bell Pepper, Sichuan Pepper Romanesco. Morisseau Bouchot Mussels cooked in Yellow Wine, White Miso & Uni Butter Sauce was to die for! The sauce was so yummy that the little side toasts were simply not enough! It tasted sort of like a Thai twist to me. The mussels were small but very sweet and tender! Great cook on the mussels!
I couldn’t help myself but asked for extra portions of their sourdough to soak up all the sauces! Still one of the best sourdough in town!
The beef charsiu seemed to be a better version than before as it’s less fatty.
Dessert is a light Alwan Mango & Passion Fruit Tart, indeed perfect for summer.
Time to go back again!
