It just happened that they have a Chinese name, doesn't mean they serve Chinese food. Indeed, they serve genuine Portuguese foods. Read their flyers knowing that this is their new branch in Taipa opened just not long ago. I did come by this area last year, remembered lining up for pork chop buns. I could skip that this year. I've not been to their other restaurants, but I find that the style of this restaurant is quite modern, feel like inside a trendy cafe in Europe. We ordered 5 dishes
We ordered 5 dishes:
Clams with tomatoe sauce - a bit spicy with some green/red pepper, very appetizing. Clams are a bit over done, but luckily no sands inside.
Pork rice in curry sauce - Unlike the so common dishes from "Cha Chan Tang", this one is very tasty, the curry sauce is a mouth watering delight.
Portuguese style fish dish - Forgot the dish name, presentation is just alright, but turn out to be quite tasty! Mixed vegetables, potatoes cooked in a light tangy tomatoe sauce. The fish is slightly deep fried, quite fresh!
Stir-fry vegetables - nothing too special, but can sense that they are using olive oils to cook vegetables quite healthy I guess!
Soufle - one of their signature dishes, fluffy vanilla flavor cake, intense aroma, becomes flat very quickly, suggest to eat it a la minute!!
The bill came to $550 for 4 persons. Definitely not cheap, but considering the great food, history and service, I would definitely come back next time, thank you!
