Just went to Robuchon this week for my boyfriend's birthday and absolutely loved it! We got the set lunches, which range from about $400-$600 MOP. My bf got the five-course meal with appetizer, soup, fish, meat, dessert or cheese, and coffee or tea with confections. Before anything came out, the bread basket appeared. It was piled with focaccia, filled breads, you name it! We also had a pre-appetizer, if you will, of lemon jelly topped with corn froth, bits of popcorn, and a basil leaf. At first the corn froth freaked me out, but once you got the perfect bite with all the elements together, it was delicious.
Highlights of the meal for me included my shiitake broth soup with mixed herbs, and the hanger steak that was cooked to perfection. I also loved the little pot of new potatoes in a sage butter sauce. The dessert was probably one of the most fun parts; the servers roll out a trolley with about ten choices, of which you can pick three. Afterwards we got petit fours with our coffee. The macaroons were a hit!
