港生開學日,XO仔有份被邀往合和中心嘅「北京老家」出席感謝晚宴,實感萬分榮幸。抵達位於七樓嘅接待處,方才知曉店子早已列為D類食肆,即代表十人晚聚可安心同桌進行。接待大堂可見兵馬俑、新娘轎車、龍頭酒酲、紅燈籠、聖旨等擺設裝飾,流露著濃厚嘅中國文化色彩。通往設於八樓嘅用餐區域,貴客必需步上十多級樓梯。用餐大堂十分開揚,木造嘅裝潢間隔就好似古裝片中嘅茶居咁。派對安排於廂房內進行,有專人服務,空間感及私隱度亦較高。開瓶費為$150/樽,相當合理,所以食客大多都愛自攜佳釀,當晚仲有花姨紅酒飲添!餐桌上擺有齊備嘅自用餐具,由於主人家早已訂下菜單,大家只需飯來張口。涼菜六小碟:雖然姐姐介紹涼菜為六小碟,但幾款嘅份量疊到成座小山丘咁高,份量絕對唔「小」!六款色澤彩美嘅涼菜中,以「蔥油海蜇」最為爽脆及「天福園醬牛肉」最為香軟。最有驚喜係兩款初嚐嘅菜式,第一款豬皮啫喱「京城豬皮凍」晶瑩厚潤、芳香軟彈。第二款鮮紅嘅「老家心靈美」清新爽甜中帶點微酸,開胃得很。細問下得知「心靈美」原來係紅蘿蔔品種嘅名,其別號「花心蘿蔔」仲搞笑,名同菜都一樣咁有特色!老家柚子魚:此味招牌魚乃鎮店秘方所製,特別在於桂花魚係原條生炸
