周五晚上來到位於觀塘工廈內的「本」和親戚食生日飯,幸好有提前預訂座位,當晚入座時都已滿座。夜市粟米棒,略略塗抹燒烤醬汁,烤得微焦,又香又惹味。檸檬清酒煮藍青口,藍青口肉質飽滿,吸收了清酒香。可按個人口味將檸檬汁加入到清酒湯中,清酒湯也滲了青口鮮味,幾好飲。鰹魚熟成封門牛柳,牛柳採用熟成方式製作,利用鰹魚乾包裹在外而成,封門柳色澤粉嫩,肉質軟嫩,富牛味。配菜的雜菌及蔬菜都很香。醉烤三黃雞 (半隻),店員端上桌時,已聞到撲鼻酒香!烤雞烤得皮脆肉嫩,充滿肉汁,入口仍帶有淡淡酒香。若嫌酒香不夠,還可再澆上附贈的醬汁。這道菜式是我們encore的唯一一道菜,因為這麼好吃的半隻雞不夠8人分來吃啊!酥炸魷魚的份量不多,炸得焦了一點之餘,酥脆度一般。明太子醬薯條,薯條粗身,熱焫焫的夠香脆,配上明太子醬,鹹香味增,夠惹味!米蘭式西班牙豬扒配沙律,豬扒炸至金黃色,好大塊!炸漿夠脆,不會太厚粉,豬扒肉質鬆軟不乾身,惟味道並不覺得特別惹味。沙律菜份量多!大頭蝦干燒忌廉醬意大利麵,大頭蝦好大隻,肉質爽口彈牙。除了大頭蝦外,還有幾粒蝦仁。扁意粉的麵質爽滑,每條麵條都均勻的沾滿醬汁,夠滋味。蟹皇蟹肉意大利麵,試了大

主菜及小食的味道大都不錯,惟飲品及甜品一般,尤其覺得飲品的價錢完全不值!幸好有美味的醉烤三黃雞拉了不少分!
