我地第一次食呢重好似蛋糕咁gei麵包咋~ 加上果隻特製醬汁好match啊

Salmon Salad: 好夠份量,材料十足! 有生菜及椰菜、車厘茄、欖子、椒子...加上主角Salmon~ 真係好味道! 配上外國沙律專用汁,好fresh!
Pizza: 係中size薄批~ 可以有大、中、小任揀ka! 不過我個人覺得中size都夠兩人食喇~ 食得太多食唔到第2d野食ka喇=P 不過味道就沒有特別~
菠菜芝士闊條面: 芝士汁非常濃郁
其實蓋過晒其他材料gei味道~ 不過面條好夠dente補番數^^ 整體而言好味ka!
兩杯wine都好gd~~ 下次可試下其他款式!!

雖然店面不太寬闊,而且門口對住就係坐位~ 有點open...
不過坐係入面感覺有點置身外國~ 幾中意
而且waiterwaitress服務態度亦唔錯^^
所以我一定會再光顧

之前去過呢度兩次,兩次都覺得超乎想像咁好食,但係呢次去,叫左個炭燒牛柳同碟意粉,唔知點解D味度好似普通左,D牛柳好多筋,咬到口攰都唔斷。同埋覺得D味道好似濃左,食到覺得有D漏。以後唔會再專登去了。

係open rice睇到覺得唔錯可以試.加上生日諗住食得特別D,所以特別預先電話訂左個雙人檯.5分鐘前到攞檯,居然被waiter話仲乜咁早來攞檯轉頭再來.嘩!早5分鐘都叫早(心諗係唔係一夠鐘準時比到檯我先).好了,等左5分鐘,仲未有檯.又要等,但同時又放人入喎.咁訂左檯就等於無訂啦.之後等左十來分鐘最終被安排坐左張4人檯.都未坐暖,waiter見到有4客人喺門口竟然夠膽叫我地起身再等檯,然後安然叫果4人底坐.唔係呱!咁都得!如果你係要比張4人檯人,你都等有張雙人檯比我換先呀.咁即係乜意思呀.我未食,就咁樣被人對待,仲邊食得落.我立即走人,發誓以後唔會再返去食.今時今日,呢種服務態度仲可以生存既話,香港真係無希望了.我對open rice都好失望.

Knowing that it would probably fill up quickly, I booked for lunch a day early. We were given a table right at the back, being in very close quarters with the table next door. Set lunch was a $88 affair with choce of mains of pasta, pizza, fish or steak. Me and my lunch companion decided on the salad, and I had the steak and he chose pizza.

The salads are hearty portions with lots of fresh vegetables plus 2 or 3 slivers of smoked salmon, mixed lightly with a sweet balsamic dressing which was not heavy on the olive oil. The steak came with a nice creamy mash potato and some side veggies, the steak was better than the average set lunch jobs both in terms of size and taste, in that I could actually taste the grilled flavour a bit. My lunch companion's pizza was a decent sized thin-crust margherita which I heard was good too.

It was either coffee/tea or dessert and I opted for dessert, a small wedge of warm chocolate cake and a dollop of vanilla ice cream, which did the job for me just right. Apparently after 1 pm they only offer one or the either, which seems a bit of a strange policy to me. But overall, despite the proximity with fellow diners as well as waiters whom I had to dodge a couple of times when they went past, the food was enjoyable and satisfying.

Just called Al Dente to reserve a table of two at 12 noon tomorrow but the lady who answered my call said "fully booked." My immediate response was "fully booked?" - quite a surprise. Then, the lady said yeah fully book and tables only available from 12-1pm. Daa! Did I ask for a table for two at 12 noon? Forget it, I better look for a another place with good service.

Had a quick dinner the other night at the Wanchai laneway shop, having been to the SOHO one before around 2 years ago.Had the following:Bread basket - a spongy yet wet bread, comes with warmed garlicky, infused with parmesan cheese dip which was quite nice indeed.1) Wines - 1 Italian, 1 Chilean. Both slightly too expensive at $45 and $50 each. 1) Wines - 1 Italian, 1 Chilean. Both slightly too expensive at $45 and $50 each. I think the wines here are overpriced by too much, most bottles are from $200-230 upwards.
2) Prawn and Lobster Cappellini pasta with Cream sauce - $9X.
The Cappellini being much thinner than even Spaghetti no.3, wasn't very Al Dente although I guess that's more like my ordering problem.
This wasn't very Italian in execution. The amount of cream was overwhelming, which had no seafood taste. Surprisingly, there was a lot of crunchy prawn and lobster cooked to the right degree, although the seafood, cream sauce and pasta were all separate entities. Not an enjoyable dish overall.
3) Parma Ham Pizza with Rocket leaves and Truffle Oil. Very thin, crispy pizza base, which had a nice texture but without any dough taste. Could not detect any truffle oil, which is definitely not the problem of my senses because they're usually very fragrant and blatantly obvious even when present in minuit amounts. Probably put on too early and 'baked' the flavour away, or was forgotten.
Rocket leaves didn't have much rocket taste, although a few strands of them had - this is a pet peeve of mine. Why do a lot of Rockets/Rocquette/Rucola/Rughetta nowadays have the missing signature taste?
This pizza was ok-good in general, it just needed slightly more flavour, plus they sprinkled Parmesan cheese on top of the mozzarella, which was strangely over-powering somewhat, although Parmesan certainly goes well with Rucola in general.

Overall speaking, this meal was satisfactory vs its reasonable price, although really falling short if you compare it to real Italian food.
A low to mid 3.

after sitting down we ordered twodrink. I had a Tia Maria and coke. Which was rare, as not many bars in Hong kong stocks tia Maria.

There was a broad range of food on the menu. with one page fully on pasta, then one full apge of Pizza, then Main course thn starters.

I ahve always like Greek food, but haven't found any greek restaurant in Hong Kong so when I had spotted the Humous starter with Pitta bread me and boyfriend was happy to order that. Then I saw online that people chose the 4 cheese linguine and boyfriend chose carbonara like usual.

Next acme the humous and pitta bread.
not veryig portion and the humous was tateless. Not very good.
Up came the two pasta.
carbonara I thought taste bit better than the 4 cheese and spinich pasta.
I think Apple green tasted much better. This was quite expensive.
Didnt enjoy the pasta at all,

after that, i ahd the melting choco udding. Which was the best out of all teh dish. Although was too sweet.

Bit pricey for low quality of food.
And defo bad service.

I decided to visit my ex-colleague in Wanchahi today. Before going their office, I had a late lunch in my favor dinning room in Wanchai. Instead of choosing chocolate dessert, I picked coffee. Taste is not very good but still acceptable. It can be stronger.

If time permit, I will come again before returning to the State.

Al Dente is small and feels a little cramped, but the food is good and the atmosphere nice. The price is reasonable and the set lunch is great value. My favorite starters inlcude the grilled mushroom and the Greek salad. For main courses, there are many excellent choices of pizza and seafood and meat dishes, but the standouts are the pastas, which are cooked al dente. The staff are friendly and helpful, but not overbearing.

本想與姐姐兩人吃一頓愉快的晚餐,吹吹水,可惜給差勁的服務態度弄壞了心情。- Book了6:30pm,到達後被安排在中間狹窄的位置,看見靠牆有位,便想轉位,但侍應說那枱8:00pm有booking,所以便作罷了。- 吃到7:55pm,侍應竟然走來說我們的枱要在8:00pm交還,但我們枱上還有兩碟食物沒有吃完,而且由兩日前的booking…到當天早上的confirmation….到坐下點菜,從 沒 有 人 對 我 們 提 過 要 8:00pm 交 枱 !!! - 與侍應理論,他們仍堅持我們要8:00pm交枱,說下個booking要set張大枱 (豈有此理 !!)。- 我們仍有兩碟食物沒吃完,當然不會走,侍應只好叫我們轉去靠牆那張枱 (不是一早對我們說那枱8:00pm有booking嗎? 分明講大話 !!)。- 轉了去靠牆那張枱後,侍應每5分鐘便過來看我們吃完了沒有,明明碟上還有食物便問我們要不要,分明是想趕客…….十分討厭 !!!最後,當然一毫子貼士也沒給,但亦難洩心頭之憤。以前曾經很喜歡這間店,食物及服務亦相當好,但經此一役後,對其服務十分不滿,相信以後亦不會再光顧了。

昨晚和兩好友到Al Dente食飯,餐廳環境挺浪漫嘅,可惜全枱都是猛男,哈哈!也許餐廳面積不大的關係,枱與枱之間距離太少,有點擠迫感。餐廳服務給我的感覺只屬一般,唔算太殷切friendly。餐包:温度微暖,鬆軟,ok。煙三文魚沙律:份量足,用料新鮮,配合沙律醋來吃很開胃。Al Dente Pizza:medium size pizza有六件,雖唔算多芝士,但皮脆料香,加幾滴Tabasco更好味。忌廉雙蝦天使麵:出品熱辣辣,上菜後數分鐘依然見到熱騰騰嘅白煙。忌廉汁好creamy好好食,和天使麵好夾。蝦雖然細隻一點,但肉質新鮮結實,唔錯。BBQ Spare Ribs:非常非常大份!Spare Ribs肉質鬆軟,但略為乾身了一點,多些醬汁會更理想。配菜薯角都很香脆好味。Banana Caramel Cake:都幾好食。

12月25日晚(星期四),幫鄒生作婚前最後的準備後,離開的時候已差不多七點,和女友坐巴士去尖東海旁睇燈飾,但係超多人(特別是自由行!),行步路都很迫。原先訂了檯八時正,心想一定趕不到,決定由它罷。行到去接近文化中心,剛巧到“幻彩詠香江”表演時間,差不多看完之際,餐廳方面打電話來問我們是否會來,我便說一定會到順道要求改時間到九點,幸好他說沒問題。跟著我們便行到去碼頭,坐渡輪過灣仔,慢慢地散步去到餐廳又剛好九點左右。可能改了時間,要等一會才可入坐,而且兩位男經理之間可能有點誤會,發生了小插曲,最終我們可以坐下。我們看過menu,有Christmas Set dinner & A la Cart,女友說聖誕節要吃火雞,所以我倆點了一個Christmas Set dinner 和一客Spaghetti Carbonara。Christmas Set dinner 包一杯餐前香檳,appetizer 我們要龍蝦湯 ,還有 champagne sorbet、Main Course 當然要Traditional Roasted Turkey,甜品要Chocolate cake!餐前香檳:不知道是甚麼

我們看過menu,有Christmas Set dinner & A la Cart,女友說聖誕節要吃火雞,所以我倆點了一個Christmas Set dinner 和一客Spaghetti Carbonara。Christmas Set dinner 包一杯餐前香檳,appetizer 我們要龍蝦湯 ,還有 champagne sorbet、Main Course 當然要Traditional Roasted Turkey,甜品要Chocolate cake!


餐前香檳:不知道是甚麼名稱和牌子,但不好酒的女友竟然說不錯,幾乎還爭喝;

Lobster Bisque:其貌不揚,但湯濃郁鮮甜,充滿龍蝦的味道,份量不少,是用心之作;

champagne sorbet:本應是用來消解口腔內吃過食物的“餘韻”,但女友見到已它當作雪糕,女友不消一會已完全吃掉了,我祇吃過一口,有青檸和淡淡的香檳味;

Traditional Roasted Turkey:以我的認知來說Main Course 是熱的,但這碟的火雞肉是凍的
;火雞肉雖然有肉味但肉質頗“實”,伴著甜的紅莓醬來吃又另有一番風味。反而我最愛吃的是side dishes的肉餅,雖然不知道是甚麼材料造成,但被不知名的香料帶起了整個肉餅的味道,很好味,配菜經過略炒,爽口鮮甜;

Spaghetti Carbonara:餐牌上的中文是寫闊條麵,但上檯時卻是普通Spaghetti ,不要緊!忌廉汁很香、很濃、很滑,意粉口感不錯、軟硬適中,是Al Dente,加上煙肉碎伴著來吃,口感和味覺都一流!

甜品:我們選了朱古力蛋糕,因為我實在太飽和甜品不是太喜愛,所以我祇吃了一口,蛋糕鬆軟,朱古力味濃厚,頗甜,其餘的就交給女友“全權處理”!

這夜的氣氛和食物都不錯,若果服務可以再好一些的話就很完美。雖然餐廳地方不大,兩位男經理和一位女侍應皆很落力地招呼客人,不過當晚人客可能很多,有些時候想找個人落單也很困難,而且我們落單後沒有給我們送上麵包,就連餐具也是食物來到後才給我們。
