Made a reservation for dinner on a Saturday which was confirmed by email. We wanted to dine at 7.30 but was advised by the staff that they had a seating at 6.45. This was fine but when we turned up at the restaurant the door was shuttered and numerous calls to the establishment bounced right to voicemail. I was accepting that maybe I had made a mistake in my reservation but the precense of two other dinner parties outside the door, both also slotted in for 6.45, proved me otherwise. Understand if there were some operational issues but a courtesy call would have been appropriate at a minimum. Unprofessional. continue reading

七月生日,飯局排到八月,真的好多謝各位親朋戚友的厚愛,讓我每年的生日增添不少色彩和溫暖。今天來個慢嘆Weekend Brunch。無論環境,食物水準,都能另我享受到一頓豐盛的早午餐。自家製的麵包香噴噴,即做即食好滋味!生蠔打頭陣,清爽鮮嫩,海水味濃,胃口隨即打開了。軟熟可愛的迷你班㦸,伴以煙三文魚,口感豐富。三文魚肥美。青瓜伴吞拿魚,味道清新。哈蜜瓜表面沾滿芝麻,好香口。清甜又帶點熱氣,簡直互相共融。鹹香的西班牙火腿混在一起,更顕滋味!八爪魚,露筍,魚子醬配搭一起,多重層次,讃!帶子煎得不錯,入口鮮嫩,可惜bacon太油膩。牛肉燒得剛好,軟熟多汁,跟紅酒醬汁夾味,提升肉香。芝士,松露油,杏甫乾,提子伴合桃麺飽,又一驚喜。主打甜品出場了,每次謀殺不少菲林。隨著熱烘烘的朱古力醬淋下,那朱古力圓球開始溶化,裡面的雪糕開始浮現眼前。一凍一熱的口感難以形容的滿足。底層檸檬芝士蛋糕酸酸咪咪,一點都不覺飽滯,太好味。Cappucicino 啡香樸鼻,完美的總結。 continue reading

Booked this restaurant at Dining City to try the restaurant week lunch menu.StarterMain course - Flounder FilletDessert - Creme brûlée chocolate cakeGenerally the food is just so so. The starter is okay but we waited for half an hour and chased a few times before they are able to serve the three bite size starter.The Flounder Fillet itself does not have any taste at all as the sauce does not help to add any flavour... But the fish skin was crispy. The way it was surrounded but a bunch of messy cooked vegetables is not appealing at all.The dessert is pretty bad - the Creme brulee chocolate cake tastes awful, the puff tastes stale, and the ice cream is just an ordinary ice cream...Does not recommend to anyone as the service is so slow. I heard that the orders are all mixed up and they had difficulties serving just a few tables. Very bad if you wish to try this restaurant during lunch hour. continue reading

一向最愛食#Sundaybrunch🍝, 放假食下好西嘆下酒🍸正到暈!呢間Alchemy Restaurant & Lounge 最出名係食黑暗dinner🔮(即係食野環境黑到伸手不見五指,要用自己感覺試清楚食物既味道),餐廳環境好有格調。咁食brunch就唔使咁黑既,佢逢假期都會做brunch set, 有生蠔、吞拿魚三文魚撻🐠、蘆筍薄切八爪魚🐡、芝士、帶子伴蛋等,再加埋甜品咁🍰,全部都好精緻細細件,最岩我呢d鍾意食finger food 既人, 我最like個八爪魚, 同個souce 配搭得好好。個甜品就懶特別,一個朱古力波波🍮,黎到枱面再倒d熱朱古力落去,個波波融左個窿,裏面係個雪糕球🍨, 味道就不過不失啦! 作為酒鬼既我,仲㨂左free flow Laurent Perrier 香檳,邊食邊食,都咪話唔梳乎。 continue reading

Alchemy的位置其實很好找,如果你知道Dragon-i 在哪,你很自然就會,因為只要一路直上Dragon-i 的電梯再來過左轉直行便到了!早上來到這個夜蒲地區,這裡的感覺和晚上的極有落差。星期天的中環是十分寧靜,而且寧靜得不可思議,這時的感覺已經和平常的住宅區沒有分別。Alchemy的門面很有氣勢,以黑色為主要的顏色,一個很多抽屜的大黑色櫃子,再配上黑白色的幾何圖案地板,有型之餘同時帶點復古之美。餐廳裡的面積比我想像中的小,而且人流也不多,在香港是很難得可以在這個公眾假期休閒地,寫意地用餐,哪有一天我們不用排隊,不用等候呢?而且這裡的用餐環境佈置富有藝術發優雅氣息。落地玻璃令餐廳的採光很好,透過窗外,看著綠意盎然的景色和拂煦的陽光,星期一至星期五的辛勞,都趁著今天而一掃而空了。星期天的Alchemy 的營業時間很短,中午12時營業到下午5時30分。雖然很短,但我在這裡享有的時光極為甜美。Alchemy只有Weekend Chef’s Brunch Menu 選擇,再提醒,這個是一個9 course brunch。貫徹了法國菜的精緻精神,因為每道菜都是只有小小的份量。而且這裡的餐具也是十分精緻美麗,令我十分陶醉大廚苦心經營的氣氛。– Chilled Oyster on Ice w/ Shallot Vinegar我自從在法國旅遊回來都沒有再別生蠔了!香港人吃生蠔都愛擠點檸檬汁,不過在法國,除了有擠檸檬汁的吃法外,也有加醋的吃法,Shallot Vinegar的材料及做法很視乎不同家庭或餐廳的配方,但總是不離開洋蔥粒。我個人比較偏好加醋的吃法,檸檬汁可以帶出生蠔本身的滋味,但加了醋令生蠔的味道更鮮明更豐富。這裡的生蠔品質不錯,味道清甜,口感爽口,只有一件實在不夠吃!順帶一提,我很高興這裡的牛油也是用上好的歐洲牛油(這個就當然的了),看到這個海鹽牛油真的超級高興!只要嚐過歐洲牛油你便會發現平常我們吃的牛油真的很差很差。而這裡的麵包是暖烘烘的!侍應生告訴我們,因為今天星期日廚房不是太忙, 所以我們享用的麵包是新鮮出爐,麵包外脆內軟,把牛油塗上麵包,看著它慢慢地溶化,再放在口中的滋味,實在太幸福了。– Homemade Smoked Salmon w/ Sea Scallop , Bread Crisp & Sour Cream這個半生熟烹調的鮮帶子實在太好吃了!味道超群,口感一流。肉質鮮嫩,香甜可口,而且發現到廚師的功力深厚!這個暫時是我吃過最好吃的帶子之一。至於Homemade Smoked Salmon, 三文魚都不是我們平常吃的擁有肥美的脂肪,肉質比較實及清爽,可能是因為是Homemade Smoked,這三文魚比我們平常別到的沒有這麼咸, 配上Sour Cream ,滋味不錯,而且酸酸的Sour cream令我更開胃。– Octopus Carpaccio w/ tomato, spanish onion & baby capers olive oil這道菜其實十分的清新的,不過有一個地方我很不明白,章魚其實很難煮得入味及軟身的。不過這章魚煮得十分軟,而且吃下去的時候和吃紅肉沒有分別,加上章魚混合著蕃茄洋蔥,我把他視為一道十分清新怡人的沙拉,而且這麼色彩繽紛,看起來十分漂亮。– Chestnut Terrine w/ balsamic beetroot, mustard & pickle老老實實,對甜菜完全沒有好感,所以甜菜的一部份可以say bye了。這個其實和普通的醬糜沒有太大的分別,而且雖然加了栗子,可是在醬糜沒有特別特出的表現,有點失望。– Steamed baby Abalone w/polenta & Sunny side up quail egg這個鮑魚品質也是不錯,用蒸的效果吃上來很像我們吃的中式蒸鮑魚,我自己就很喜歡這個小鮑魚。但polenta & Sunny side up quail egg我就不太喜歡,因為我對polenta的好感一般,polenta吃起上來淡如無味,浪費了鵪鶉蛋了。– Seared Hake Fillet w/ carrot puree & citrus butter香煎鱈魚片配普紅蘿蔔蓉實在太好吃了!通常吃到的紅蘿蔔蓉都很青臭味的,但這個紅蘿蔔蓉真的像果汁一樣的甜,而且裝盤很美。– Char Grilled Wagu Beef w/ French beans & chorizo potatoes肉類永遠都是我最期待的一餐,而且還是和牛呢,對於是不是和牛有點質疑,和牛理應是佈滿著脂肪的牛肉,可是在這裡吃到的和牛其實偏瘦。但也不影響其風味,醬汁完美帶出牛肉的鮮味。薯仔也煎得很香呢。雖然說有chorizo 但我沒有點吃到,有可能太細我吃了也不而為意了。-Valrhona Chocolate Delice w/fudge cake, red berrues & vainilla gelato在用餐其間已經看到別人吃這個甜點了,別完和牛後我已經急不及待要吃這個甜品了。一路上的份量明明都是小件小件,唯獨是這個甜點特別大!吃之前,侍應會拿暖的朱古力醬淋上去甜點上的朱古力大球, 之後朱古力大球慢慢溶化,覆蓋著冰凍的雪糕。在雪糕下的朱古力蛋糕鬆軟,朱古力味道可口宜人,而且齒頰留香。又冷又熱的滋味下,十分獨特而又完美劃上餐點的句號。私心認為,我對Alchemy的菜式大部份都很喜歡, 很欣賞設計餐單的大廚對食物有獨特的美感及功力。雖然這個是一個不便宜的brunch,但好地方真的是可遇不可求。已經和男友約好,要再來吃這裡的晚餐,因為Alchemy最有名的是Restaurant in the dark 呢! continue reading
