Despite being the only ones there- it was very early in the morning- food came extremely late. Perhaps they should switch the waiters with robots- despite being inanimate these creatings would get the job done better.

Ambience: 9/10. a very cosy and warm ambience with a panoramic view of the harbour. Certainly what you want to peek out at in the morning.

Price: 2/10
The aforementioned beef was extremely expensive! going to a local char chan tent for beef would be better!!!

相信不論食物有多好味, 如果服務態度惡劣, 不論食什麼都無味!

We booked a reservation for a party of 10, but when we arrived the staff told us that the group would have to sit separately
since 4 more people showed up - that it was impossible to accommodate a table for more than 10 (under any circumstances). We made the reservation, they accepted it without stating clearly that they are unable to handle group of more than 10; and then not only couldn't they accommodate it nor giving us alternatives, the hostess was in fact rude. Apparently, it's the patrons who should use their "common sense" and just know that Betty's won't be able to seat more than 10 to a table... even when reservations for 10 were made and accepted.


Horrible experience overall;
inconsiderate waitress, rude hostess and an incompetent booking / reservations system. The manager was 'ok' and seemed somewhat concerned for their patrons - otherwise, just about everything at Betty's was a 2 of 10. I am totally disappointed at this experience with Betty's Kitchen and would definitely never recommend it to anyone.

Skimmed Latte: 普普通通,算不上好喝,咖啡味不夠香醇,但也不至於難喝,湊合吧! 頂層的鬆餅有四款,分別是原味、提子、朱古力及芝士味。
Scone是我的最愛,我吃的兩個是原味和芝士味。味道無法與MO的Scone相比,个头也小三分之一,牛油味不算濃,但好在不乾,碎屑不多。芝士味那個,我沒嘗到芝士的味道,感覺和原味的沒有區別,所以總的來說只能是普普通通了。

中層的一層是咸點三文治,也有四款味道,蒔蘿奶油忌廉、芥末烤牛肉、醃三文魚及煙肉配雞蛋,另外還有四件Cheese Gougere法式芝士烤餅。我吃了其中的兩款三文治,芥末烤牛肉和醃三文魚。麵包都新鮮鬆軟,白包里加了芝麻,口感和味道都多了層次,不錯!芥末烤牛肉和三文魚也都算新鮮,烤牛肉脂肪多了一點,有一些油膩,特別是又加了sauce,生菜爽脆,算是balance了一些油膩感;三文魚正常。
法式芝士烤餅:很普通,沒吃出什麽特別的味道,還有些油膩,不推薦。

吃完三層,可以免費再加一層,我們選了scone,我繼續吃了那兩個非巧克力味的,感覺和之前一樣,兩個味道無差別,味覺上分不出有一個是cheese味。

不知道是和長輩喝茶比較拘謹,全程要注意聼她講話,且要不時給予回應,還是這裡的tea味道真是沒有亮點,吃完對食物沒有留下太多印象,沒覺得哪個特別好吃。但考慮到環境、服務和價格,還有食物的份量,如果不是十分講究和挑剔afternoon tea的味覺品質,這裡還是不錯的選擇,可以對著維港,悠閒地聚會聊天。

突然,表姐指著menu上的"Bettys Girlfood breakfast 美女早餐',跟我們說:「哈,如果有一位其貌不揚的女子叫一份‘美女早餐’,那不是有點尷尬嗎?」我笑著答:「女生就是吃了這個早餐才會美啊!」

我們叫了Frittata with tomato, red onion, potato and sliced jamboodaily baked quiche, served with baby mixed salad Artichoke and lentil salad with Ossau cheese and Bayonne ham,分別另配Baked House sausage、Baked beans、Sauteed wild mushroom.這天供應的quiche是三文魚餡。還有他們點了餐前飲品,分別為Iced Coffeefreshly squeezed carrot juice,而我待會兒才點餐後飲品。

其實我們坐了好久才點菜,期間沒有餐前麵包端來,但見到鄰座的外國人在吃主菜的時候才收到baguette和牛油,我們相信麵包會遲些才送到。見那個baguette, 與平時的不同,它的兩端是尖尖的翹起,呈焦黑色,應該是在烤爐上燒過一會的。另外,餐桌上也沒有olive oil 和balsamic vinegar提供,令我開始懷疑這家是否意大利餐廳。後來看到服務員端食物的姿勢才知道這家並不是純意大利餐廳,而是我不太愛的紐約風意大利餐館,心情霎時感到矛盾。

飲品來了。Freshly squeezed carrot juice:顔色看來對板,但實際上比我想像中稀釋,胡蘿蔔味道十分淡。先前在香港某酒店的breakfast buffet 喝的鮮搾carrot juice是非常杰,紅蘿蔔味道超濃烈,還嘗出生胡蘿蔔應有的草青味。至於iced coffee,我沒喝,不能置評,只聽説味道也是淡口的。

三個‘brunch set’以紐約端菜式一拼送上來(紐約式的端菜位置要比肩膊高;而意大利或其他歐洲式的則在腰部前),依然沒有baguette的蹤跡。

Artichoke and lentil salad with Ossau cheese and Bayonne ham:雅支竹,應該是雅支竹心,清新爽甜,口感像上海家的筍乾般,但味道更淡雅。Ossau cheese, 是來自法國西南部Ossau Valley的羊奶芝士,跟我愛的Roquefort Blue cheese 一樣,獲得具權威性的AOC 認可,但熟成期只有90日(從網上得知)。 Ossau cheese芝士味道不濃,沒有blue cheese的辛辣,甜甜酸酸,味道像我平時搽方包的cottage cheese,但比cottage cheese幼滑, 很不錯。Bayonne ham,是法國西南部的風乾火腿(從網上得知)。看看它的顔色,顔色中等,未呈ibérico的深紅色,應該熟成期不長。鹹香度不足已證明它的歲數。它的脂肪分佈也影響它的味道,分佈圖案就如吉x家肥牛的一樣一截截,但又不夠脂香味。而油潤感只是下得瀟灑的橄欖油造成。Lentil被鋪滿在底部。乍看以爲全都是酸澀的capers(平時用來伴煙三文魚那些泥綠色小粒), 給嚇壞了。看清楚一點,形狀有些少不同,相比caper,lentil較爲扁身。也是叫扁豆,但這些綠色小扁豆的外型跟平時有去濕的黃色大扁豆很不同,可能是不同種類。味道則與大扁豆沒什麽分別,而質感較黃扁豆硬實。當我嘗試將以上所有食材一齊放進口中,因爲大家各自的獨特味道,所有的都能散發出來(除了Bayonne ham),味道不會互相遮蓋,調和的很好。

Daily baked quiche, served with baby mixed salad: 這個三文魚蛋批,跟我手掌心一樣大(要澄清我的手不是巨型=p),另放的baby mixed salad反而比蛋批多些。熱度,除非是即叫即搓即焗的蛋批,一早弄好的不會熱到那裏去,否則蛋肉便會變老。可能是太小的關係,蛋的味道沒有期望中香濃,更不用說三文魚,只是看到三文魚碎。那個牛油批底,硬脆得宜。這樣的蛋批,我覺得一點都不值一百一十個大洋。樓下Simplylife 和姐妹店Petit Café的蛋批比這個好吃得多,内餡豐富,又有兩個手掌般大,價錢又便宜。如果有下次來這兒,我決不會叫這個菜。

Sauteed Wild Mushroom:嘿嘿,別看它灰黑黑,這樣烤的蘑菇才好吃啊。在高溫下,蘑菇本身的肉汁被爆發出來,不用調味都已經十分好吃。不過,店家太慷慨,下了太多橄欖油,將這道健康的菜變得肥膩了。還是樓下Simplylife的烤蘑菇沙拉好吃,至少我吃完後的嘴唇不是發亮的。

Baked beans:不是罐頭的茄汁焗白豆。白豆挺大顆,茄汁也不是死甜那種,自然的番茄酸甜。

Baked house sausage: 見到自家製的三個子,就讓我興奮不已。這香腸被一層挺韌的衣包住(豬腸衣?),保留了内裏的肉汁和鮮味。除了紅肉以外,裏面還有塞進了脂肪顆,增加口感。如果有部分脂肪粒融進腸肉裏,像chorizo一樣,那便更加完美。

到尾聲了,baguette始終都沒有出現在我們的餐桌上。為何對面數桌外國人食客會有呢?是他們叫的?抑或他們是常客?

Baguette沒有了,甜品餐牌則自動送上來。表姐說不要在叫甜品,因爲待會兒會去Petite Amanda吃甜。最終我只叫了caffe latte。

「那個好像是Amanda...」同伴說。我轉了身,真的是她啊。我很開心見到我的idol,一直以來都十分佩服她的才藝。她是我今年内在餐廳裏見過的第二顆星~ ︿︿ 很希望與她拍張照,但見她正與友人談話,還談得蠻正經的,便打消了這個念頭,反正很快又見到她了。

Caffe Latte: 拉花不中看,奶泡不太細緻,不夠厚,不能豐盈的包著我的嘴巴。咖啡的味道不詳說了,始終不是專家,只能說比Holly Brown的淡口很多,應該是溫度不夠的原因。

如果有機會再來,我想,要timing對才行。不知道那時候,我還能遇上這顆星嗎?

再吃中層的三文治,也有四款味道,蒔蘿奶油忌廉、芥末烤牛肉、醃三文魚及煙肉配雞蛋,另外還有四件Cheese Gougere法式芝士烤餅。食物一送來,看見三文治的麵包微微向上翹起,已有點不好的感覺。拿上手麵包乾硬,不太鬆軟,又是很乾的麵包,令人失望。

味道上其實不錯,蒔蘿奶油忌廉,青瓜片十分新鮮,夾著的忌廉很滑,味道香濃。芥末烤牛肉,牛肉質感很薄很削,沒有甚麼肉味及芥末味,四款中較為遜色。醃三文魚味道恰好,略帶鹹香,若然能加點忌廉芝士在內,我就更喜歡。

Chocolate Craquelin,朱古力蛋糕,特別喜愛以脆脆來造的餅底,增添口感。朱古力味道十分濃郁,可可味甘醇但偏苦,未必人人也能接受。質感挺實中卻很幼滑,入口慢慢融化。Religieuse,朱古力泡芙,兩小隻泡芙內藏著朱古力忌廉,但由於比較細小,口感不太強烈,亦只能嚐到微微的朱古力甜。

Coconut Entremet,起初以為這是芝士蛋糕,原來是椰子味的,雪白的慕斯口感輕柔軟滑,椰子味道香甜,加上底部蛋糕層夠濕潤,也是不錯。Millefeuille,拿破崙酥皮微微鬆脆,卻帶點韌性,夾著厚厚的忌廉吉士不夠幼滑,味道還好,充滿雲尼拿芳香,挺香甜。

Tarte aux Fruits,鮮果撻的撻底厚薄平均,口感鬆脆,只是略為硬了一點,帶著濃郁的牛油香,水果下的吉士香甜滑溜,是吃過不錯的生果撻之一。最後再喝點茶,這裡的茶也有不少選擇,我選了常喝的 Earl Grey Tea。

整體來說,甜點比鹹點造得好,乾身的麵包及硬式的鬆餅,未能令人想再來吃。但以環境來說,這裡也是不錯, 或許選吃Late Brunch Menu會較好。

相約了好友吃下午茶, 美食小簿下午茶名單還有好幾家沒吃過, 這次就選了這裡聽食友羊家妹說這裡的下午茶不錯, 就來了吃平日的下午茶時段人不算多, 到了三時便準時入座, 選了他們的下午茶餐點了darjeeling, 朋友選了earl grey, 店員很細心幫我們倒好三層架來了, 這裡的其中一層你可以多選一次, 本來一心想著會再點甜點層, 但後來轉了決定只因為他們的三文治做得很好吃scones他們的鬆餅有原味, 巧克力跟葡萄乾的. 蠻鬆軟也帶牛油香, 也不會太乾鬆餅層次很分明, 一層一層的吃起來比較有質感clotted cream奶油香很夠, 配以杏脯果醬跟草莓果醬都很不錯吃接下來的鹹點層絕對有驚喜! 我吃過那麼多英式下午茶沒有吃過這麼好的三文治cucumber with dill cream時蘿奶油青瓜三文治, 這款三文治其實在英式傳統三文治中一定會出現的這裡的做得很美味! 簡單的餡料青瓜是新鮮的, 青瓜的清香非常突出配以時蘿奶油的香草味道實在很讚~! 麵包不像一般的下午茶那麼乾, 想不到的好吃roasted beef with mustard芥末烤牛肉三文治, 牛肉質感不柴, 肉香十足,

時蘿奶油青瓜三文治, 這款三文治其實在英式傳統三文治中一定會出現的
這裡的做得很美味! 簡單的餡料青瓜是新鮮的, 青瓜的清香非常突出
配以時蘿奶油的香草味道實在很讚~! 麵包不像一般的下午茶那麼乾, 想不到的好吃

芥末烤牛肉三文治, 牛肉質感不柴, 肉香十足, 配上一點的黑胡椒香不錯吃
芥末份量下得剛好, 微辣的不會搶去牛肉的味道, 也是好吃的
house cured salmon
醃三文魚本身其實有點過鹹, 但搭上麵包吃能中和鹹味
但魚香突出, 不會只吃到鹹味, 愛吃三文魚的朋友很喜歡這個
bacon and egg
煙肉配雞蛋這款我比較沒有很喜歡, 因為本身不太愛吃煙肉
但這裡的煙肉不會很鹹, 配以蛋香也是不錯吃的, 我也能接受得到

非常欣賞這個芝士烤餅! 它像是芝士泡芙一樣, 外面烤得很香很脆
裡面的芝士味更香濃, 非常好吃, 軟軟的內層配上外面的脆度真的好喜歡
就是因為他們的三文治跟烤餅好吃, 跟甜點對比之下決定再多點一次鹹點

一直不太喜歡這個甜點但也做得不錯, 外層的泡芙不會糊掉, 帶點脆的質感
裡面的臻子奶油醬也算香滑, 味道蠻濃的, 算不錯
chocolate puff
味道也算好, 但一人分一半太小, 就不太吃到巧克力味道
fruit tart
這個果撻很不錯呢, 上面水果很多款, 每款都新鮮好吃
外面較硬實, 但不失牛油香, 裡面的吉士醬香滑, 奶油香氣很重很濃
chocolate cheesecake
一向不太喜歡吃芝士蛋糕, 這蛋糕吃起來雖是硬實的那種, 吃起來卻不會有膩的感覺
上面的巧克力片原來蠻薄的, 那吃起來不會太搶芝士蛋糕的味道
chocolate mousse cake
這個mousse cake很好吃, 巧克力mousse很香滑
可可味也很濃郁而不會苦, 甜度也剛剛好, 眾多款甜點我最喜歡這個
mille feuille
這裡的拿破崙也不錯吃呢. 每層的酥皮都很酥脆很薄
吉士醬也是很香滑濃郁, 配搭起來也是很好吃

整體來說這裡的下午茶質素都蠻高的, 尤其是鹹點真的好吃!
服務也很周到很友善. 朋友看到他們的late lunch也好像蠻吸引的, 會再來吃其他菜式

配搭下午茶的茶的選擇已經有超過二十款,最普遍的英式茶到中式的龍井、銀針白毫也可以選,另外還有各類咖啡。 既然這裡有特別的茶,當然選一些自己沒試過的,所以我就選了South African Honeybush。Honeybush蜜樹茶在南非很有名,低單寧酸而且不含咖啡因,是性質較溫和的茶,沖泡後有一種天然香甜的蜂蜜味道,很適合配茶點。

最上層的是英式鬆餅。配上士多啤梨醬、橘子醬和clotted cream,全部都是自家製的。鬆餅只是微微暖,如果新鮮焗好的應該會飄出濃濃的牛油香,還好吃的時候實際上是充滿牛油味的。clotted cream是幼滑的,只是比我想中的沒那麼rich,我比較喜歡那種又綿密又厚實的忌廉,而且裝著忌廉的瓶子有點小,我和友人各自未吃完一個就清掉了那瓶忌廉了。同桌友人說這裡的出品雖然不錯,但仍然是文華的略勝一籌。

中間的一層是三文治,一共有四款口味,分別是蒔蘿奶油青瓜、 芥末烤牛肉、醃三文魚和吞拿魚配雞蛋和兩顆法式芝士烤餅。三文治沒有什麼特別,裡面的餡料也普普通通,不過我欣賞煙三文魚裡面加了塊芝士,沒那麼單調。而那顆法式芝士烤餅,其實就是芝士波,不過外層有點硬,也稱不上是內脆外軟,有點失望。

最底的一層是法式甜品併盤,裡面有Paris brest、Coconut entremet、Chocolate craquelin、Millefeuille、Religieuse和Tarte aux fruits。我對法式甜品不太熟悉,所以只挑了兩個我覺得不錯的來介紹,其中一款是Chocolate craquelin,朱古力味道極為濃烈卻不會苦,入口幼滑,慢慢在口腔裡溶化;另外一款是Tarte aux fruits水果塔,牛油曲奇的塔底很好吃,充滿牛油香卻不會太油膩,而且上面的紅桑子和藍莓酸酸的,減低飽滯感。

我和友人來之前其實各自吃了午餐,原有的我們都已經吃不完,由於不想浪費,最終我們也沒有追加一層,所以我們也覺得如果打算要來吃下午茶的話,可能就只吃個早餐就算,或者下午吃少許東西就好,否則就不划算咯。

Both of us were felt like some steak or ribs with mash as an occasional treat!

So my friend ordered the Short Beef Rib with Truffle Mash, and I ordered the USDA Rib eye steak (medium rare) with Mash for sides.

Short Beef Rib was slow cooked for 7 hours, it was really tender and had really strong fragrant beef flavour, didn't try the truffle mash but my friend cleaned her pot.

My steak was was dry aged for 21 days, it was cooked perfectly and very succulent - very strong beef flavour, I also cleaned my pot of mash


We were watching our calories so didn't go for dessert, rather, we went for camomile tea and pink rose buds tea to polish off the heaviness of the meaty meal


I love this place, it had such a beautiful night view, will definitely bring other friends or family along next time!

The chicken linguini was great, a bit creamy but the chicken wasn't really very fresh nor homemade as the waiter claimed.

Further, actually we booked table for 6 but they still kept us waiting at the doorside when we arrived, I think the service quality still has room for improvement.
