Finally got to try this famous french bistro in Kennedy town that I have bookmarked for a long time!

We ordered a set dinner for two ($548 pp )
Includes cold cut platter, cheese platter, lobster linguine, clams in shellfish broth, Hokkaido pork loin, ..
as we have 3 person, we ordered extra food from a la carte menu,
- seared scallop, duck leg confit, and my favourite freshly baked Madeleine cake as dessert ..

We enjoyed most of the food there, especially the lobster linguine and clams, those are must order, both were rich in umami flavour.
The pork was pretty good too, tender and juicy.
A little disappointed by the duck leg confit though, no need to order this.. just so so , maybe Becoz that’s not their signature..

I was a little regret for my choices,
I think I should’t order the set dinner, we should just order everything we want from a la carte menu, as I just calculated the cost was more expensive for the set ($548 x2) than order separately ... we were lazy and didn’t think clear 😅 and we didn’t actually need to eat the mediocre cold cuts and cheese platter ..
I should’ve gave up the duck leg and scallop and go for the signature roasted chicken instead.. 🥲

Overall, I think everything was quite on point, and I love the vibrant vibe there, it would be better if I made the right choices for the orders.. haha

Cost: $770 pp include 1 bottle of wine
Tips: don’t order set dinner, just pick the signature dishes from a la carte menu (clams, lobster linguine, chicken, and Madeline cake)

My friend brought me to this place, apparently she did some research on openrice and found this restro. We went there for lunch, everything we ordered were pretty good, especially the lobster spaghetti! It was flavorful and al dente! I kinda like the bread as well, it was crispy on the edge and soft on the inside! Yum! The dessert was so so. Will definitely come back again 樣樣餸都好味,由其是龍蝦意粉。意粉夠掛汁。軟硬適中。

紙包料理係傳統嘅法國料理之一,意即將食材放入紙入面再焗,紙張將食材本身嘅味道鎖住,令其味道更富層次感。呢道紙包鱸魚口感同味道其實都有少少似中國嘅蒸魚,但紙包嘅做法又令檸檬,車厘茄同香料嘅味道滲透係魚肉當中,味道比蒸魚更為豐富,對我黎講不失為新鮮嘅體驗😋

呢道龍蝦扁意粉並唔算係非常正宗嘅pasta, 反而更接近家庭式嘅做法。意粉食落較軟腍,口感上差左少少,但勝在個醬汁鮮味十足,成個意粉味道都唔錯。值得一讚嘅係佢嘅龍蝦肉,口感彈牙唔會太老,而且非常鮮甜😋

朋友生日,想在挑選一些有特色的小店用餐,最終敲定了這個位於堅尼地城的法國菜餐館。店子可以透過Openrice預訂,當日店員還會打電話來確認,十分周到。  預約了六點半,店子已開始人多,可是環境和氣氛都不錯,相當舒適。由於選擇困難,我們點了一個二人套餐,有兩道頭盤和自選兩道主菜,再加一客甜品。  先上的是一般西餐都會有的牛油麵包。這裏的麵包帶少許酸味,比較特別,而且可以要求添加,不錯。  頭盤是風乾火腿、莎樂美腸和肉碎。風乾火腿偏鹹,肉味濃郁,味道較一般;莎樂美腸卻令人驚喜,過去一直不喜歡吃,覺得肉質粗糙,沒有嚼勁,可是這裏的卻肉味和鹹度平衡,而且肉質偏嫩,保留了彈性,比起風乾火腿更勝一籌。最予人驚喜的是那一碗肉碎,口感豐富,有肉的鮮味,還混和了橄欖油和香草的香氣,讓人欲罷不能。  主菜點了龍蝦意粉和豬肋骨。龍蝦離殼上,鮮甜可口,而且烹調時間適中,保留了肉質的彈性,意粉軟硬適中,不會像很多地方般偏軟,因此咀嚼時層次更分明,加上麵條完全吸收了龍蝦湯的汁液,彷彿放進嘴裏的不是意粉,而是一條條固體的龍蝦湯。  豬肋骨不同於一般的做法,並不是燒,而似是用慢火炆和煮,因此較為入味。最初擔心肉質會比

  最後甜點是Madeleine,傳說中普魯斯特因為這傳統法式小餅乾的滋味而寫下了追憶似水年華。今天竟然陰差陽錯地嘗到了這值得作者花四十年去回味的風味甜品,結果沒有讓人失望。外脆內軟,甜而不膩,配合甜甜的巧克力雪糕,為這一頓飯寫下了圓滿的句跑。店員回應了事前的要求,插上生日蠟燭和用巧克力漿寫上生日快樂,值得一讚。

Struggled for so long between this starter for two or two different dishes. I am glad that I make the decision of trying this calm. This is an umami bomb 💣 The broth is full of flavours with great aroma from the white wine. The clams are meaty and fresh. They offer extensive wine list in a very nice price👍🏼 If you are not getting one, you are probably missing the point here. A Burgundy white🥂 will never go wrong for tipsy afternoon. It has great zesty and apple flavour with strong mineral finish. Perfect pairing with a pot of seafood🍲

The pork loin is my favourite of the day. It is succulent with a very good texture. The doneness is just perfectly right with pale pink in the core. It is not the most tender type of meat but with a nice chew that I love the most🥰 Chewing a meat is always a bigger pleasure. This dish is simple home style that will steal your heart😍

Batard和Bistro du Vin的菜式, 特別是Mains的分別不太大, 例加是澳洲和牛Flank Steak以及龍蝦意粉, 今次來吃某情度可以看看兩間餐廳在處理同樣食材上, 有沒有任何技術及手法上的分別, 結果是沒有. 無論是食材質素及處理上, 很統一, 很標準也不會中伏, 沒甚麼可以批評, 只是要Differentiate兩間就要再花點心思.沒有牛骨髓, 幸好還有Bouillabaisse, 也就是馬賽魚湯, 如此法式住家菜在香港Fine Dining比較少有, 在Bistro也不一定是間間有提供. 這裡的湯頭鮮味十足, 帶點天然酸味和香料的香辛味, 不會濃得如醬般, 喝下去十分舒服. 配料比之前品嚐的豪華, 除了鱸魚, 蜆及大蝦外, 更有半隻龍蝦, 其羔香令湯頭味道更鮮. 正宗的馬賽魚湯應該沒有貝殼及蝦蟹類, 只有來自地中海的魚類, 不過之前在法國吃的, 也有如此配料, 也許是為了令這湯品更令人飽足吧! 條魚個汁其實同個蜆差唔多 所以好似嗌其他mains感覺會豐富啲😂不過佢個魚整得幾嫩既 好夾個汁 係最開個舊稍微老少少😌😌之後個豬肉就真係有啲煮耐左啦 我上網睇大家嗰啲相係好靚既粉紅色㗎😭但係我哋呢個就剩係得中間嗰啲火候掌握得比較好 其他都有啲太熟 口感差啲😭不過佢係真係每一舊都有炭燒味 燒到個皮好脆既😙

佢個madeleine係真係新鮮焗出嚟嘅 勁香蛋味同埋橙味 因為新鮮焗出嚟真係幾唔錯😌反而係佢個朱古力雪糕都勁有驚喜 超濃朱古力味 有少少苦 但係我哋兩個都好鍾意🤩🤩

西環法國小店佈置優雅,星期六的下午享受了一個悠閑的午餐和妹妹及兒子去了這間小店,在外面看入去不知道樓底好高,氣氛好好。頭盆的鴨鬆多士及法式煮蜆都好好味。主菜選了豬肉、龍蝦意粉及魚。每一樣主菜都好食。甜品選了朱古力蛋糕加雪糕。朱古力蛋糕是暖暖的,做了完美的終結。西環有很多西餐廰、不是間間星期六、日都有set lunch 供應。外藉女店長(可能是老闆)態度親切,店員都好有禮貌,這間餐廳是我近期去過服務態度和食品最好的一間。加上價錢公道,食物地道,值得推介給各位。
