I went to BLT Steak on Friday night for a dinner I had been longing for. The place is dimand lack of air-conditioning. While we ordered some side dishes and the steak,we had some beer and popover. BLT Steak 的牛扒是以煎焗方式為主,先用炭爐燒得焦香,再用Broiler以1700度高溫鎖住肉汁。這件以鑄鐵鍋奉上的牛柳,賣相雖然黑了一點,但絕對不要以貌取「牛」。火喉控制恰到好處,切開後是深粉紅色,中心偏暖,正是我們點的Medium Rare。牛柳味鮮淳厚,口感軟腍有嚼勁,配上清新的香草牛油,使人回味無窮。

We ordered two appetizers, first being a Tiger Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp are quite large in size, though I have to say it is rather bland in taste, and only through the dipping sauce bringing in some flavors. It is also quite expensive at $228 per serving. Not worth having this in my opinion.

The other appetizer is Crab Cake, which is much better in taste, with fine crispy potato strips wrapping the creamy and tasty crab meat, deep fried to golden brown, and sitting on a remoulade sauce, with some radish salad on top. Much more value for money than the shrimp cocktail in deed.

For main course I have chosen Red Snapper, with a crunchy skin grilled and seasoned perfectly, while having the flesh still moist, soft but cooked well. On the side there are mushroom and a sauce that reminded me of sesame oil. A good dish in my opinion.

My wife on the other hand had opted for the Australian Filet. Although I did not taste it, looking at the cut it was grilled medium as requested, and the meat is tender and juicy. The sauce is an interesting one prepared from herbs but also having a spicy note, giving the meat a nice supplement in flavors.

For dessert I have chosen the Ice-cream Sorbet, with three scoops of Grapefruit, Coconut and Lime, and Banana. The sorbet are nice, with right sweetness and acidity, highly refreshing and helping to cleanse my palate from the meal.

The other dessert we ordered is Dragon Fruit Salpion, which is prepared by carving out the flesh of the dragon fruit and then with different fruit put back inside, plus a scoop of ice-cream on top. It is also refreshing and a good finale for our meal in the evening.

The services are generally good, with attentive staff but there is not much interaction or check-in throughout the meal. The price tag is fairly reasonable, with the above costing $1,292 for two.

My overall rating is 65/100.

Had the NY strip and bunch of sides and appetizers with some friends visiting from Chicago. Everything we had was just as amazing as the view we had of HK island! I've only been in Hong Kong for a year and this is the the best steak I've had by far! Compliments to the chef AJ for a great meal!

星期日難得同朋友行街,行街前醫左肚先一早已經plan左黎依間食,因為有得儲AsiaMiles加上($2=1里)。去到有得選擇lunch buffet 或散叫,我地想食Rib Eye 所以一個散叫再加個Fish & Chips~一開始有得食麵包,佢係空心包,但係好香最出色係佢隻牛油又香但又唔會好「利」。主菜黎啦~~~Rib Eye 嗌左Medium Rare都岩岩好 好重肉味又夠Juicy 無嗌錯!Fish & Chips都唔錯,好有澳洲feel2個人都食唔哂Lunch黎都唔錯,好relaxing ~~~ 去開行街會返黎,今次都儲到miles。提一提大家儲Asia Miles要帶卡哦

T骨 - AMERICAN PORTERHOUSE 38OZ $1100 - 呢個扖入口真係講五到咁好味, 個種油香, 個種肉味, 一入口每人都讚嘆,
外面燒香位置, 連同的肥膏一齊食, 點埋佢本身的牛肉汁, 簡直人間極品
, 減肥的我忍五到都食左幾件…建議盡快食, 凍左就浪費了

肉眼 AMERICAN RIB EYE - 14OZ $398 - 食完T骨就比下去啦, 牛味不夠, 仲有D SO, 食落也不夠牛香味…


SAUCES: RED WINE & PEPPERCORN - 雖然兩款汁都不錯, 我認為食T骨不用點, 反而肉眼因有點SO 所以就要點D來避味

牛扖偏熟, 所以叫rare剛好

SIDES:

烤蘑菇 ROASTED MUSHROOMS $88 - 明明寫係蘑菇, 來到是什菇, 真你有D貨不對辨,
味道也不特出, 菇味也不夠濃, 好彩牛油味重帶出香味

烤蘆筍GRILLED ASPARAGUS $88 - 好嫩, 沒什麼咸味, 就直接食到蘆筍的味道


DESSERTS:
LEMON CASSIS MERINGUE PIE$80 - 酸酸甜甜, 剛食完咁多濃味, 可以清清口腔同埋消化下, 個CAKE好靚.
上面有D好似雲既CREAM, 入口好似一陣風. 仲有一球青寧雪巴, 好酸但係感覺非常良


NEW YORK CHEESECAKE$80 - 整得好靚, 芝士味不會太濃, 剛好. 上面都係有一個紅梅雪巴, 又有紅梅汁同紅梅肉, 見到都忍五到五食.

星期一通常都係食肆較的「淡季」晚上7點直接walk in 唔需要等位因為兩個人都唔太餓,所以只點了16oz 美國牛,一份crab cake同baked potato 先講餐包,外表看來好大個,但內裏其實「空氣」十足,可以話係外脆內軟,直接用手撕開,再沾上牛油,既香且滑然後到我們的主菜16oz既牛明顯有點厚,而我地點的是medium 可能太厚的源故,火喉較難掌握外表有點燒焦,而內裏太生的感覺但牛味同肉汁都唔錯撇除生熟程度來說,是塊高質的牛扒而附上既醬汁,個人認為可以直接加鹽更能品嘗牛既味道接著係crab cake蟹肉的比例較少但個餅唔鬆散,中間切一刀都唔會即時解體Baked potato配料充足就好了如果再夜d,就可以欣賞埋窗外夜景,係拍拖撐枱腳既好地方

今次係第2次黎啦!

牛肉熟度剛好, 牛味同肉汁豐富 ,

呢度牛肉調味幾好 , 鹹度過適中, 先前試過有間食burger牛肉得倨鹹字, 完全cover晒牛肉本身既香味!

配上醒胃爽脆酸瓜, 生菜 , 蕃茄,

炸芝士

黎到好熱, 剛剛炸起,

我已經急不及待要”拉芝”一下,

外脆內軟口感不錯,

不過呢隻拉芝芝士好多時係腸好過食,

拉芝好似好吸引, 但事實食落唔係話芝士味甘香濃,

不過每次見到都係會”落搭”, 哈哈!


黎緊星期5可能又去食 ” 韓食拉芝雞啦 !

忌廉芝士辣肉醬配糕點

辣肉醬好有土耳其風味,

配上黃椒 , 紅腰豆 , 水欖同粟米,

仲有cream cheese, 好特別既味道,

但最搞笑係配幾件黃色甜甜地好似馬拉糕既糕點,
