Duck confit is considered one of the finest French dishes. I would say this duck leg tasted even better than the one I tried in a famous old restaurant in Paris.

首先上場嘅係Soupe à I’Oignon,雖然佢嘅外形唔太討好🤭但一入口就係好濃嘅洋蔥味同芝士味,整體偏鹹。而且味道較濃烈,同行嘅朋友食咗一半就頂唔順🙈所以如果你食開偏淡嘅野,呢個湯就未必啱你啦。而我就覺得唔錯,我覺得中間嘅一舊舊芝士中和咗洋蔥湯嘅濃味,所以都係因人而異~

Entrees:  Confit de Canard was excellent. The meat was super tender and it smelled good. The duck had a smoky flavour; the skin could be a tad crispier. We also ordered a French classic Bouillabaisse. Excellent seafood medley - softshell crab (unusual), white fish with skin that was nicely grilled first, mussels, calamari, and shrimps. The broth was amazing, it had a rich taste. 

Dessert: Chocolate mousse. Airy and not to sweet, it was how it should be... A+

Bouchon is definitely a place I will go back again and again.

Food and environment was good,

I started lunch at 12:20 and staff couldn’t wait to push us out within an hour but what we had is a 2-course menu+after meal coffee!!!

They kept coming to collect my plate even tho it’s HALF finished only. What’s your problem???

And they gave us the bill although we weren’t prepared to pay at all! Then we didn’t pay at once (cause we have not yet finished the main course!) and the staff came back to us again to check if we’ve put our money in that black folder with receipt in it.

Seriously if you have time limit during lunch hour, just put a stand in front of your restaurant saying that all should be done within an hour, then I would not have waste $4xx for such a bad experience.

以前在里昂交流的時候總愛到里昂的小餐館bouchon吃飯,看到這間餐廳的名字也是bouchon來著便心血來潮和朋友一起來這回顧在法國的時光❤️前菜- salade de lyonnaise 里昂沙律👍🏻在里昂bouchon吃飯時必點的前菜,是配上煙肉(lardon)、麵包脆脆和水波蛋的經典里昂沙律🤤雖然比起在法國吃的版本這裡橄欖油和甜醋的比例還是有些差距,可還是十分推薦給喜歡吃沙律的人😍主菜 - confit de canard 油封鴨腿👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻經典法式主菜之一油封鴨腿!鴨腿外脆內軟,而且也不會醃得太鹹,配上酸甜的香醋汁十分開胃!切片薯仔亦有鴨腿的味道🤤有還原法國的味道!主菜 - Moules marinières 白酒煮青口👍🏻👍🏻青口份量多而且也挺新鮮的,不過略顯白酒味不是太出,還有改善空間😛不過薯條便相當出色 還原french fries的幼長的特色讓人忍不住一口一口的接著吃😚主菜 - Côtelettes de Porc 蜂蜜芥末烤豬排👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻另一經典法菜!豬排烤得剛好非常嫩滑配上mustard汁不會過膩 愛豬人士必點!不過忘記拍照了🙈😂最後還叫了creme brûl

另一經典法菜!豬排烤得剛好非常嫩滑配上mustard汁不會過膩 愛豬人士必點!不過忘記拍照了🙈😂

最後還叫了creme brûlée!份量很大叫了一個跟朋友三個一起分剛剛好!也是很經典的法國味道~還配上兩個小曲奇餅 不過曲奇就一般般了😛

總括來說 法國菜來說價錢還是合理 而且走比較悠閒隨意的風格與朋友相約來一個法國風情的小聚會是不錯的選擇!

First off: don't use Google Maps direction to locate Bouchon. Take the Central Escalator all the way to Shelley street, turn right on Eglin. I learned the hardway starting off at the bottom slope on Eglin Street...lost I was.I sat at the front portion of the bistro with high chairs and tables. First off: don't use Google Maps direction to locate Bouchon. Take the Central Escalator all the way to Shelley street, turn right on Eglin. I learned the hardway starting off at the bottom slope on Eglin Street...lost I was.

I sat at the front portion of the bistro with high chairs and tables. The hostess was nice to pull out the table so that I could get in and sit on my chair: seriously tight between tables, but comfortable. Since this was a bistro, I had no problems with the closeness with my neighbours. And you bet, everyone would want to know what you ordered, and vice versa. Steak frites seemed to be popular today.

But I didn't go with the flow. I had soupe à l'oignon, canard rôti (roasted duck breast) and penne cotta: 3 courses $176 , extra $18 for changing to an onion soup.

La soupe had a lot of onions and a rich broth. It was good, but no wow yet. In fact, the melted gruyère I tasted charred bits.

Onto my main. The duck breast was delicious- wow- juicy, moist, and cuire au point. Some might find it a tad red inside. As usual with duck dishes, subtle sweetness came from the jus.

Penne cotta was creamy, a bit too much gelatin for me, with strawberry coulis, and strawberry slices.

I had a good time. Perfectly okay to dine on your own.

Definitely will go back to try other dishes, like beef tartare, Bouillabaise, la crème brûlée...
