可愛嘅名字,加上餐牌設計一眼就認得靈感係嚟自拼貼大師Mondrian,絕對係一間令人第一眼就有印象嘅餐廳。沿住扶手電梯嚟到Soho區士丹頓街,corner位置變成一間醒目嘅🇫🇷法式小餐館Canelé。位置剛好又方便,樓下係open bar 與樓上亦有用餐位置,清涼天氣亦可以到室外balcony用餐,感覺更似一趟悠閒小旅行。晚上嚟到室外位置都坐滿了,坐到室內用餐正對著open kitchen,偶爾可以欣賞到厨師嘅製作過程。Dinner menu相當簡單,有US black angus sirloin 及Boston marine lobster 兩款main。貫徹法國人對麵包果然係熱情洋溢,麵包部份亦不假外求,前菜係homemade sourdough,真心欣賞餐廳能有出品自家製麵包配自家調配嘅紫菜牛油,小小點綴足夠lighten-up整個體驗(可能我太看重餐前麵包lol)。前菜沙律簡單到位,調味加少少walnut碎令口感同味道都很好。主角美國黑安格斯西冷牛扒,4成熟掌握得好,紋理分明肉嫩細緻;至於朋友點嘅美國波士頓緬因州龍蝦,淺淺一嚐,口感好嫩滑彈牙,調味適中食到龍蝦最原始嘅海鮮咸香。

法國人最重視嘅甜品時間,同樣係homemade。 72% Valrhona 製成嘅Chocolate soufflé 甜苦濃度恰如其分;yuzu cheesecake 用上日本cc,香味醇厚柚子則帶出清新。重點係兩款都比預想之中輕盈,haha 挺好,至少減低咗我清盤後芽生嘅罪惡感。

They brought us upstairs and we sat at the outdoor area. The vibe was so chill and it was nice enjoying dinner with autumn breeze.

We ordered 2 dinner sets. The dinner set includes unlimited French fries and unlimited daily veggie, which is a great deal considering that some similar restaurants only offeres unlimited French fries, and it is healthier too. The daily veggie on the day I went was mushrooms, which was sauteed with garlic and herbs. We ended up refilling our fries and mushrooms for a few times as they were really tasty.
