My son requested for Eastern European & Russian cuisine at Dacha Restaurant & Bar. (We found this place 2-3 weeks ago while we were searching for Eastern European and Russian grocery online). Finally today we had time and we booked the table via OpenRice. The place was quiet and we were the only table at lunch. The food was surprisingly soooo good!!! Will definitely come back again! The food was surprisingly soooo good!!! Will definitely come back again! We ordered set lunch with 2 courses each, and another dish (dumplings) and desserts. Here is the list:
1) Borscht Soup -our first time having authentic Borscht! Always had the Hongkong style ones at 茶餐廳 lol
2) Power salad -very fresh! We both liked the lightly salted and flavoured to taste greens
3) Pork shnitzel “Schabowe”- the pork chop was juicy. The highlight is the side (potatoes)! Never had potatoes that look plain but indeed it’s a bit crispy on the outside! “Never judge a book by its cover”
4) Spinach & Zucchini pancakes + fried egg.
The egg yolk melted into the crispy pancakes and indescribably yummy! (A bit like Korean fried seafood pancakes with very crispy edges but I like this better!)
5) Siberian Pelmeni (grounded pork, Butter, Dill & sour cream dumplings). Juicy and a bit like 東北餃子🥟,皮Q彈!細細粒一人一口餃 😋
6) Plombir (Ice-cream). 奶味香濃!
7) Honey Cake “Medovik” with Passionfruit Nalewka (liqueur). Honey cake 有啲似千層木糠蛋糕。Nalewka 嘅酒精濃度都頗高,不過細細杯”dab”下幾好。
In conclusion, it was a very nice Sunday lunch 🥰
