Came to Emack and Bolios for some post dinner dessert.
First, the ice cream:
1. Chocolate peanut butter cup
A bit too salty but otherwise great.
2. Salted Caramel chocolate pretzel
This was great except the pretzel was a tad soft.
Secondly, the service:
I wanted two scoops, asked if I can have it served in seperate bowls.
Admittedly I was not sure if there was a price difference or not but I asked NICELY.
When the bill came out I saw it was $96 and I recalled previous visit for two scoops was $68.
Turns out two seperate scoops is $48 each.
Ok fair enough, I didn’t know that and could have read the signs properly but the reason I wanted it seperate is just because I didn’t want to mix up the flavours.
Now my problem here is how the staff handled it. One staff member offered to put the scoops together and reissue the receipt. Then the other staff very rudely said no, the receipt is already out. You said two scoops, so too bad.
Come on lady, just here for some freaking ice cream. Didn’t come here for an extra scoop of sass.
Misunderstandings is expected and the ice cream scooping staff member handled it well.
It’s when the cashier lady, very sternly overruled her colleague and gave me extra attitude that I have a problem with.
Other than that, the ice cream is fine.
