Here we are, extending the addiction to the very popular Korean drama "My Love from the Star", wanted fried chicken to go with ice cold beer for brunch. Trying out the just-landed Korean fried chicken restaurant Fairy Land with a friend today. We arrived at 3pm sharp, when the restaurant is supposed to be opening at, it wasn't opened until 10 minutes later. The decor is simple - fast food style, and has an orange scheme. I spotted some Korean words written on one of the walls indicating that they
Chicken - deep fried in a light batter, slightly spiced. Alongside, 2 dipping sauces ie sweet chilli and garlic soya sauce and a dish of pickled turnip were given. Meat was tender, even the breast pieces were so. However, it's nothing compared to what you could find in Korea which tastes more succulent and chickeny - I supposed it has to do with the source of the poultry. Chips - absolutely too greasy and flaccid.
Servicewise - not much you could expect from a fast food restaurant but the Korean lady server had tried her best.
