一個晚上,在這間充滿印度風情,餐廳內還有印度籍樂師演奏唱歌的印度餐廳裡與一大班朋友吃了一頓豐富得很的印度大餐。這晚夜我們因為人多勢眾,共有十多人一起吃飯,所以吃的東西也特別多。頭盤有「雜菜餡角」和「酥炸麵餅配甜酸濃汁及薯仔」。Tandoori 燒烤有「印式烤芝士」、「烤珍寶大蝦」、「串燒羊肉卷」和「炭燒鮫魚」。主菜方面,素食的有「菠菜蓉芝士」、「奶油香草燴黑扁豆及紅腰豆」和「香草焗茄子蓉」;魚類的有「香草雜菜燴鮮蝦」和「「果亞咖喱魚」;肉類的有「洋蔥紅茄香汁燴雞球」和「洋蔥紅辣椒燴羊肉」。最後,在甜品方面,還有「火焰蜜汁圓球」、「新鮮阿方素芒果」和「自家製印度雪糕」。再加上大量不同款式的「印度烤餅」,一句說話「實在太豐富了」已經可以把這晚盛宴概括地形容出來了。至於各款食品的味道如何,我在這裡就不詳講了,請看相片中的介紹吧!這一頓印度大餐,實在豐富,想不捧腹而回,難了。

侍應端來滾燙的鐵板,是Paneer Tikka Lajawab(印式烤芝士)。Paneer是印度的Fresh cheese,有點像Cottage Cheese(茅屋芝士),也是味道比較淡,但Paneer是很結實的,很有咬口。把芝士用醬汁醃過後再烤就是Paneer Tikka,Lajawab是有少少甜的醬汁,如果是Masala的話就是有點辣的。

接著是很吸引的Tandoori Jumbo Prawns(烤珍寶大蝦),虎蝦真的很大,很多膏!Tandoori其實是指一種名叫Tandoori的烤爐(圓形,有深度的),就像西班牙的Paella是指那個鑊而不是海鮮飯。蝦用Tandoori masala醃過,因此是橙橙紅紅的。虎蝦肉彈牙,膏很香。朋友讓我吃了兩隻,非常滿足!

本人是依靠澱粉質生存的,以上的Samosa 及Papadum,
當然不夠我一餐的攝取量,所以我大量在咬 Naan,咬得不亦樂乎....
這裡可以說是令我非常高興,除了大路的芝士烤餅,蒜蓉烤餅,仲有極多不同口味的!!

芝士烤餅/烤餅,可以見到芝士/蒜蓉在兩層烤餅的中間,份量也是挺多的,
自然味道也比外間的香濃,上桌都是熱呼呼的,口感軟熟呢!

切粒上的雪糕,樣子有點像腐乳吧,至於入口時有點冰感,像雪葩般,
不過就不易溶,幾挺身,味道就是有點香料味,吃完濃味的印度菜,清清味蕾也不錯~

香港在經濟發展中的七八十年代,其他的飲食文化也開始走進來,最為人熟悉的應該是港式豉油西餐,但原來印度菜也在靜悄悄的登陸。今天晚上到訪的印度菜餐廳,原來也已經不知不覺的由70年代屹立至今。店內的燈光呈淡黃色,裝潢充滿印度風味,當晚店內也有不少似是印度籍的食客在坐。大家都坐好後,首先上來的是前菜的雜菜餡角和酥炸麵餅配甜酸濃汁及薯仔,餡角炸得夠熱,內裡釀滿了幼滑的豆蓉,麵餅很香脆,吃著發現香草味的after taste很濃。吃過前菜便是Tandoori菜式上埸,印式烤芝士的口感不會軟軟,比較有咬口,奶味沒有想像中濃,感覺像吃烤豆腐多一點。烤珍寶大蝦的外觀很吸引, 大蝦雖用烤的但入口不乾,也有不錯的鮮味。另外的兩個Tandoori菜式是炭燒鮫魚和串燒羊肉卷,燒好的鮫魚塊外型也很像芝士,而鮫魚肉本身沒什麼油份,所以吃起來也比較乾。串燒羊肉卷卻既有香草味,當中又有不錯的肉汁伴隨,吃罷才有點後悔,因為只吃了半條而已。 菜類方面送上了香草焗茄子蓉和菠菜蓉芝士蓉,這裡大廚將芝士和蔬果等煮在一起變蓉,吃著沒有違和感,蔬果的味道也沒有給其他配菜掩沒,用來送飯的話應該很開胃。海鮮類的主菜還有果亞咖哩魚跟香草雜

另外的兩個Tandoori菜式是炭燒鮫魚和串燒羊肉卷,燒好的鮫魚塊外型也很像芝士,而鮫魚肉本身沒什麼油份,所以吃起來也比較乾。串燒羊肉卷卻既有香草味,當中又有不錯的肉汁伴隨,吃罷才有點後悔,因為只吃了半條而已。

海鮮類的主菜還有果亞咖哩魚跟香草雜菜燴鮮蝦,這個咖哩魚雖然吃不出是甚麼魚來,但魚肉比剛才的鮫魚軟嫩,也比較能在魚肉中吃到配料的咖哩香。另外的燴鮮蝦也有異曲同工之妙,用汁煮的方法令人更可在吃著蝦的鮮味之餘,吃到更濃的香草味。

除了雜菜和海鮮,當然也有紅白肉的主菜類,先吃了一點洋蔥紅椒燴羊肉,肉塊吃著有咬口,而給洋蔥紅椒和香料洗禮過後,一點酥味也沒有,但醬汁感覺是鹹了一點,如果用來送飯卻應該沒問題。另外燴雞球的雞肉帶點燒過的香味,肉中也帶比較濃的香料味和一點椰汁香,但醬汁不過鹹,可以盡情的將雞球跟醬汁吃下。

印度烤餅送上時都是熱烘烘的,且還傳來一點點的牛油香,這裡的烤餅選擇不少,吃到這時間沒可能全部吃一遍,所以只吃了蒜蓉、洋蔥和全麥的口味。幾款的烤餅都做得夠軟身,又帶不錯的香味,特別是全麥的吃起來甜味比較突出,所以也更得我歡心。

最後還有印度式的甜品送來,自己早年在重慶大廈吃過幾家印度餐廳,一早知道印度甜品的甜度不是一般人能接受的,所以也只打算淺嚐。這裡的蕃紅花雪糕比較冰感重,蕃紅花味道跟雪糕卻很夾,而炸奶球經過火烤後也沒有過份的甜,當中帶不俗的煉奶味,不過相信店家已把它的甜度調低。

首先來了幾款小食 有芝士、羊肉和燒魚
印度烤芝士據聞是水牛芝士 芝士味香濃
硬身而且口感較為粉狀 很有飽肚感
另外燒魚的肉質都是較硬身 以上較喜歡羊肉

來到主食印度烤薄餅
平時在外見到的印度薄餅大多只是油煎餅
爵樂還有芝士烤餅、全麥烤餅、蒜蓉味和洋蒽味
外層脆脆的烤餅好香口 即使齋食已經好好味

咖哩方面原來真的有大辣中辣小辣!!
咖哩一上枱已聞到淡淡的印度香味 小至中辣人人都啱食
最配合就是食烤餅 另外還有貌似炒飯的香米飯

小至菠菜蓉芝士咖哩、奶油香草燴黑扁豆咖哩、紅腰豆茄子蓉咖哩
中至羊肉咖哩和極辣雞肉咖哩
至於Aminn食得辣都挑戰了2啖大辣(顏色較紅)
前味是甜辣 但不要開心得太早
咀嚼過後辣味才出現於口腔至喉嚨 哈哈哈~

飯後當然要一嚐甜點
Aminn也是第一次試印度式甜品

吃印度菜,又怎能少了咖哩和Naan Bread。個人最喜歡Dal Makhanni 奶油香草燴黑扁豆及紅腰豆,雖然其貌不怎突出,但味道卻是香滑無窮,豐富的牛油香於口腔中徘徊,很是迷人。

對比下,Baingan Bharta香草焗茄子茸更顯清爽,茄子香甜,同屬佳品。

而小妹心愛的Rogan Josh Kashmiri 亦不負眾望,羊肉鬆化,筋位軟糯,醬汁富洋蔥和紅椒的清甜,同時散發隱約的辛香。

這裡出品的Naan,鬆軟也帶點韌性,一點也不油膩,其中Missi Naan 芫荽香蠻濃重,不喜的人或會抗拒,然而個人認為其香氣正好調和濃膩的咖哩;羊肉味的Naan中層夾有Kebab肉,吃起來很像煙韌的Pizza,不佔任何醬汁吃也很美味。

雖然Gaylord 的格局和氣氛,已較為溫文,未能允許老娘完全解放抑壓良久的粗獷本色,但每當想起舌尖上的香辛滋味體驗,那怕只是一閃即逝的快感,依然教人興奮及回味啊。

香草雜菜燴鮮蝦

可能是我偏愛海鮮,所以對食過的海鮮類印像會比較深。這次換上了香草雜菜,大蝦同樣做得實淨彈牙。是我喜歡的地方。而且個汁也十分惹味。

在這裡食印度菜,好處是香料不會落得過份。食咗咁多款香料的菜式,也不會有口乾的情況出現。

這裡有著十數款的酥餅薄餅款式。全是即叫即整,上枱時熱得很!當晚一圍,我們食了五六款,當中也有一些辣的酥餅,全都是很好食的。

自家製印度雪糕

老實說,印度甜品是第一次試,印式雪糕更是覺得新奇。這個雪糕,比平時食的密度高很多!就算不是即時食,放上個五至十分鐘也不會輕易溶掉!

味道上,是有點香料味,而雪糕的奶味十分重。喜歡奶味重的朋友可以一試。

最後試上空運直送的Alphonso芒果片。芒果比平時我們食的泰國芒果是肉質結實得多,更有咬口!而且那種香氣跟一般的芒果不同,多了一絲的香草清香感。喜歡這種很有咬口而香氣獨特的芒果呢~~

Recalling ChungKing style, smoky with blue or deep yellow light, tight-packed tables and loud Indian pop. The environment here is completely different. Bright, space between tables and live Indian music performance. Well, thumbs up for my friend picking this place!

We start with Samosa, its surface is so crispy and goes well with the mints yogurt and tamarind sauce. Though it is a veggie one, the spicy rich the flavour of the stuffing. Papadum is another sauce killer as well. The mints yogurt gone half after these two crispy babies serve.
Ordering Tandoori is always a dilemma. They bring a good experience to nose and mouth with their smoky chargrill flavour but the same is offered to your clothes as a perfume. Thanks to the ventilation system here, I can enjoy this here and need not to worry bringing the flavour home.

Paneer Tikka Lajawab is chunks of cheese which marinated in pickled spices. After baked in Tandoor, surface is dried and a bit crispy at its corners. The texture of the cheese is soft and slight chewy, the milk favour is much concentrated than which cooked with spinach.

Jumbo Prawn is awesome! Coloured in traditional red with spice yogurt, served on a ZZing iron board and it smell so heavenly! The Prawn is so fresh and cooked perfectly right! Not a minute under and over cooked.

Also cannot miss the Lamb Seekh Kebab. Minced lamb are well-seasoned. The flavour of coriander seed and cumin seed play so well with the lamb. The roll is so juicy unlike its surface. I can have it for lunch every day.

Veggie dish always an Indian chef expertise as India is one of the country with highest vegetarian population. The baingan bharta , baked eggplant, tastes so natural. The spices, onions and garlic bring out the original flavour of aubergine. Light mashing keep the eggplant seed as a whole and break like caviar in the mouth.

As I am not a fans of chilli, I skip most of curry, especially those in bright red!!, which my friend enjoy much. But naans need to enjoy with sauce right? I picked the Rogan Josh Kashmiri to pair the naan with stuffing mince lamb. Doubling the lamb hit! The curry carry a little touch of heat, the lamb is soft and match with the sauce much. The naans have a crispy base and a comparative soft top. The moisture from the mince supported expands of the dough?

The meal finished with flambee Gulab Jamun. This visually attracted with lighting the alcohol added to the syrup base. This little ball absorb the sweetness and flavour from the syrup. This one is kinda the most enjoyable one I ever have. Not deadly sweet.

【Gaylord印度餐厅】香港难得的中高档印度餐厅,不像重庆大厦里一股贩毒味.喜欢吃辣的朋友不妨试下,一直进出川菜馆也是有点low!入店一股扑面而来的阿三味让你有置身印度的错乱感.店里的咖喱混合椰奶,辛辣中又透着椰香的甘爽,各种咖喱海鲜,鸡肉,羊肉等都是极好的下饭菜,记得加份印度烤饼,唔该!

依到我想黎食左好耐嫁喇, 不過一直都無咩機會,今日終於都有機會黎。依間餐廳既裝潢幾好,夠哂清潔同光猛,而且枱布同埋餐巾感覺乾淨,不過冷氣好似有少少唔夠,又有可能係我地食咖哩,所以有少少熱。 雖然食客唔算太多, 最多都只八至十枱,可能時間尚早喇,至於野食方面,d款式都ok多, 都有好多嫁有十多樣,咖哩羊(最好食)依個最好食,可能自己鍾意食咖哩同埋羊,加上佢味道都唔錯,係幾正,不過真係應有盡有咖哩雞, 咖哩角, 炒飯, 炒什菜, 素咖哩, 烤雞 烤肉卷, 印式甜品(粉團在糖水中), 生果, 沙律. 還有自助餐包一杯飲料,都唔錯嫁, 另外最鍾意就係烤肉卷,因為佢出面個卷做得好好,幾有咬口,而且個烤雞都幾好味,幾入味咁,又唔會話超濃。
