大約係半個月前嘅事喇! 之前食過之後一直向同事推介,但同事們都覺得離公司太遠喇! 要山長水遠行上嚟堅道,想搵個傻仔陪我嚟食真係好難,估唔到呢日有個同事肯陪我上嚟,但真係估唔到原來係老店嘅最後一日(正確D講應該係半日)。如常的由SOHO方向行上來,坐低點好食物後,一位女待應以普通話同我地講,下午要到格離大廈的店!! 我思前想後,係唔係自己D普通話咁差,竟然聽錯此店嘅待應同客人推介其他食店?? 一堆問號在腦海中泛起,細問之下原來老店坐落嘅大廈要遷拆,店主已經係格離大廈開咗新店,呢日係最後嘅半日,做完午市就會關門搬走! 估唔到我同呢間老店都仲有點緣份!呢個食評係為咗記念呢間老店,一間外內都好有北京風味嘅老店。食物唔多講,因為以下嘅食評都已經講過晒,總之就係好味,好北京嘅風味,希望新店水準依然。

山楂茶,唔錯,但不夠山楂味,再濃更好

We have ordered different dumplings, juicy, good flavor, the "shandong big bun" is delicious and pricings are valuable. However, the soy milk, neither hot or cold, is not good at all, we better drink tea instead.

There are a few places dotted around Hong Kong Island doing good homemade noodles and dumplings, particularly Wang Fu in Soho, the two different Dumpling Yuan’s in Soho and Sheung Wan, and a place in Sai Ying Pun near the Chong Yip shopping centre.

You see them with all with trays laid out in the evening, rapidly stuffing filling into neat dumpling and lining them up row after row. All of these places are good basic fare rather than anything fancy, with prices to match.

Hometown has a better range of dumplings than most , with a lot of steamed buns and xiao lung bao on offer too. Unlike Dumpling Yuan or Wang Fu, its menu is fairly limited to dumpling and a few different types of noodles though. If you’re not looking for either of these then you should probably go elsewhere.

Based on quality of dumplings alone, I’d say Hometown places near the top of the list. The Beijing lamb dumplings I had melted in my mouth with wrappers that were wonderfully buttery. The lamb stuffing had a really distinctive earthy flavour, and oozed succulent juice.

The whole package tasted really freshly made, and massively better than the defrosted dumplings you get in so many places now.

因為叫o左個羊肉麵,所以先冇叫羊肉餃,改o左做白菜肉餃,成隻餃放入口,唔覺得d皮厚,只係覺得好多肉汁"咇"o左出o黎,菜絲切得好幼,肉同菜既比例o岩o岩好,唔會太油,又唔會太多菜,到o左最期待既小籠包,可以係山東style. d皮同d水餃包一樣厚,食落去完全係白菜肉餃,不過係蒸既版本,麻麻地o者.
好辛苦先食晒呢五咪餸,五味有三味好食,二味ok都算唔錯喇.不過重有紅油抄手,烤雞菜飯,五香肉麵,羊肉餃等等未試,要再搵機會試埋佢其他野食先.....

下班後坐小巴回家途中想起電視經常介紹的此店就決定下車光顧一次舖子很有東北風味 - 闊大殘舊店員也很有東北風味 - 愛理不理點了一客韭菜鮮肉湯餃子(十隻)及一客小籠包(五隻)原本想點大包, 但見兩個大媽在口沫橫飛中製作也就罷了韭菜鮮肉湯餃先到每一隻都很飽滿, 可是...皮厚得不像話有些人說北方的餃子就是皮厚但我不論在北京, 山東還是香港朋友的山東大媽煮的都 是薄皮的...而最要命的是當餃子端上時已有數隻的皮破了...還好肉餡很鮮, 韭菜很香, 沒破的也有湯汁在內勉強合格然後到小籠包上場每一個都是胖胖, 滿滿, 大大的那有小籠包長這樣子的?咬下去, 多汁, 但皮也是很厚而且肉餡裏有菜這又是那門子的小籠包肉餡了...但肉餡味道也不錯而且也很熟悉 - 這不就是我在山東當地常吃的蒸肉包?我是喜歡吃蒸肉包, 我也不介意吃蒸肉包可是不要把蒸肉包當作小籠包賣給我吃吧!到結帳時店員只顧看電視叫了幾次才懂得找錢看來, 真的吃一次就夠

韭菜鮮肉湯餃先到
每一隻都很飽滿, 可是...
皮厚得不像話
有些人說北方的餃子就是皮厚
但我不論在北京, 山東還是香港朋友的山東大媽煮的都 是薄皮的...
而最要命的是
當餃子端上時已有數隻的皮破了...
還好肉餡很鮮, 韭菜很香, 沒破的也有湯汁在內
勉強合格

然後到小籠包上場
每一個都是胖胖, 滿滿, 大大的
那有小籠包長這樣子的?
咬下去, 多汁, 但皮也是很厚
而且肉餡裏有菜
這又是那門子的小籠包肉餡了...
但肉餡味道也不錯
而且也很熟悉 - 這不就是我在山東當地常吃的蒸肉包?
我是喜歡吃蒸肉包, 我也不介意吃蒸肉包
可是不要把蒸肉包當作小籠包賣給我吃吧!

店員只顧看電視
叫了幾次才懂得找錢

看來, 真的吃一次就夠

看罷上星期重播的蔡瀾歎名菜便很想吃這間常乘車經過的店子,店子裝修和環境都很地道。專誠來吃的「羊肉搶湯麵」果然了得,湯味濃郁、麵、菜、肉的比例也很合乎我所想的比例,正!點「涼拌小黃瓜」的時候,侍應女士多次回覆也是「拍青瓜」,一上菜果是拍出來的,各件大小不一,很"凶案",不過味道夠鹹、蒜泥充足,好味道!必定會在短時間內重臨!!

今天和友人去了在半山堅道食餃子,有人介紹京香餃的餃子是中上環最具地度風味,餃子有差不多10款,今次老闆 (非常友善和熱情,果然是北方人!)向我們介紹他親手做的鮮魚餃子,和幾種最受歡迎的餃子,我選了翠玉瓜鮮肉水餃和花素餃兩拼而友人選了鮮魚餃子,我們中叫了山東手撕雞。瓜餃非常鮮甜爽脆,有肉汁(絕對不是那些港式水餃一團肉的感覺),口感分明,味道剛恰到好處~素餃更是比十個good!!! 當中的料有新鮮小棠菜,紅蘿蔔,粉絲,木耳等,味道非常好,沒有味精感之餘中有0炎0炎口感添~~~以我所知在香港只有少數京滬菜館沿用這做法,在這裡中可以食到有名的山東大包!(蔡san 都有介紹,現在向香港真是買少見少了!!)友人的鮮魚餃子非常新鮮,魚肉沒有腥味,鮮味十足,最重要是自己在家永不會自己花這麼多功夫去做,值得一試啊!此外手撕雞十分抵食,一點也不油膩,調味料分量十足,底下配以青瓜,真的十分美味~最重要是,食到在香港難得的東北風味!! 我已想好下次食甚麼了,哈哈~~

去完孫中山博物館,就來呢度食個午餐。中午來到唔算多人,唔使等位。店內四周都貼滿雜誌、報章介紹,可知其名氣不底。叫了菜肉餃麵,麵身十分爽口,餃子的皮亦很薄,肉汁及香味濃郁,非常不俗。價錢方面,一碗餃麵平均廿多元,半山來講已經係價錢相宜,經過附近實在值得一去,試試其招牌水餃。

位於半山的京香餃,又是蔡瀾推介食肆之一,鄰近孫中山紀念館,地理上頗為偏僻,餐廳環境也只有些簡單的布置,如富特色的中國剪紙圖案。此店屬家庭式經營,聽老闆娘口音應是正宗山東人,看其在廚房內即場包水餃,令我非常期待。先來一客前菜打頭陣,是入口爽脆涼拌小黃瓜 ($18),但略嫌香料拌得不太均勻,一部份的黃瓜有點過鹹。接著是羊肉搶拉麵 ($31),從餐牌上見到 "手拉麵" 這三個字,就算加三蚊都要試一試,唯入口麵身偏淋,應該不是"現拉條",幸湯底是標準的羊搶味,味道夠濃也散發點點羊羶味,好得沒話說,即使羊肉片只是普通貨,但以價錢計,整體絕對稱得上有水準! 其實何謂"搶拉麵"呢? 根據松竹樓徐經理引述,其意思是指肉同拉麵放在同一個鍋內煮,味道互搶之意 (註: 松竹樓現已倒閉 XDDDDD)。說到水餃,又不期然懷念兒時姥姥親手包的美味,我想大部份人都跟我一樣,喜歡吃水餃、但只喜歡家裡的水餃,即使到什麼名店也好,總覺得水準是略有不及的。市面上水餃款式層出不窮,但豬肉、三鮮、魚餃才是正宗傳統口味,羊肉水餃只是創意搭夠罷了,將羊肉來作餡料,味道真的不太突出。這次試了京香餃的三鮮水餃 ($31),三鮮餡料一

另外也試了蔡瀾推介,餡料包括粉絲、菜、豬肉的山東大包 ($10@)。坦白講,味道並沒有蔡瀾所說的出色,但在香港供應這種山東大包的地方少之有少,難道每次想食都要去鹿鳴春嗎? 這些小店應該比較方便吧! 是晚吃得高興,再後加了一客涼拌雞絲粉皮 ($30), 先將材料及醬料拌混,讓雞絲、青瓜也沾上美味的麻醬。雖然粉皮煮得不太熟透,有點韌,但值得一讚是雞絲不是普通的雞絲,而是一塊塊手撕雞肉,肉質嫩滑,味道濃郁,配上麻醬更是美味,結果妹仔大過主人婆,看來下次定要叫一客手撕雞好好回味呢!

這一頓豐富的晚飯,只是位位六十大元,正宗的餃子,製作用心的家庭式小館,絕對值得向大家推薦!
