甜品拼盤陣容還不弱,其中除兩款雪糕外,個人認為最美味的是夾著滑滑朱古力Ganache的Brownie,味道不太甜,朱味也濃郁;Crème Brûlée 也是誠意作,底部有不少雲尼拿籽,不過質地較黏稠,吃起來還差一點細膩;紅色一杯像奶凍的,質地像超多氣泡的慕絲,味兒完全被又稀又淡口的果醬蓋過,真說不出是什麼。

雖然甜品未如理想,但整體來說咸食是不錯的,主菜也有超乎意料的水準,是值得一試的。

Went here for business dinner and found it very good. The restaurant area is very spacious and all kept in darker colours. The modern decor is very chic and fresh for a Korean restaurant. We had the Beef Carnitas Fries which were crunchy and flavorful with the addition of beef pieces. Also the Bo Ssam Iberico Pork Belly were moist and tender, not too dry, with the right amount of seasoning. Food was served quickly and hot! Great experience and food! Us four had their Signature Menu. The Chicken Sliders and Short Ribs were definitely the highlights of the meal, both were juicy and succulent! The restaurant also has a very good selection of wine and great cocktails, and we all tried the Kimchi Bloody Mary, which has a good spicy kick! We also ordered the tasty beef fillet carnitas fries and snickers hotteok was the perfect chocolate dessert to end the meal! Definitely worth a visit.

My girlfriend and I had lunch there since our friends raved about it. Location is great and close to where we work. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. Got seated and we ordered dumplings, fried chicken, kimchi fries and kimchi tacos. The fried dumplings was probably the best dish we ordered, because it was nicely marinated. 

However, that was the only best thing we've had.

The fried chicken? mediocre. The kimchi fries? mediocre. the Kimchi tacos? wow, let me tell you, when it came, it smelled like garbage! The taste was aite though, if you can get pass the odor. 

The table beside us, however, couldn't get past the taste. This group of korean boys gave the tacos a whif and slowly put it back down with a wtf face. Needless to say, when they paid for the bill, the tacos were left untouched. virgins, if you will.

overall, it was aite. peace. will go back in two years if it still exists.

Customer would have to roll the ingredients in with the rice ourselves. We particularly liked the non-traditional white sour cream and the blue sour cream sauce which gave a lighter taste to the bibimbap.

The whole Savouring Art Week was an enjoyment from our eyes to our noses, then mouths. We really enjoyed our afternoon at JINJUU especially with the open terrace view, overlooking to uncommonly quiet LKF before the dawn.

Bibimbap (marinated chicken breast/thinly sliced marinated Iberico pork belly): 石頭鍋飯在我心目中是韓食的典範,無論在哪一間韓國餐廳都應該一試,看看廚師的手藝。石頭鍋飯除了固有的配菜如雞蛋、芽菜、紅蘿蔔等,還配有四種主要食材,分別是泡菜、雞胸肉、牛肉及豬腩肉。友人與我選了雞胸肉和豬腩肉。煎雞胸肉略用鹽調味,份量不多,約得七八小粒,可是上菜一刻已有部分焦黑了,唯有小心不讓石鍋碰觸到它。石鍋飯的溫度讓醃過的豬腩肉溶化的油脂發揮其香氣四溢的優點,生蛋在熱得燙手的石鍋瞬間煮熟成熟蛋,惜不能融入飯中拌勻。

Chocolate, Hazelnut & Gochugary Brownie: 最出色的甜品非brownie莫屬,上面的雪糕吃不出味噌味,反似牛油,不怪異但的確又鹹又甜,質感細滑,與下面的Brownie尤如天作之合,。剛出爐的brownie周圍有不少脆口的杏仁碎,裡面則有烤香了的榛子粒,最驚喜的是核心裡的極厚實的榛子ganache,層次豐富得讓人忘記了此物的卡路里。當然,忘記還忘記,每人吃了四份一已經覺得膩得很,不得不投降。

吃罷收到賬單,真的沒收加一服務費。Main courses食材配搭及煮法就比較普通,韓食並沒有正宗的惹味,fusion部分算可有可無吧,例如這裡的招牌starter chicken lollies只不過貌似精緻,但個人還是傾向大大口咬炸雞,可能比吃lollipop大小的要來得爽快。若再來一次,唯一會再點選的是甜品Brownie。

The ambiance was cool and I really liked the open space design, but we were seated at the front tables (since there was an event that night apparently) but the chairs were stools so high we both had to literally crane over to eat - very poor design! Comfort level minus 2.

I did like my pinot grigo and they had a good list of wines for a Korean place but the mocktail that B ordered (Busan Waterfall) tasted like sugar on ice water. Super weak sauce.

We ordered the fried chicken popsicles (just tastes like KFC but even more artificial), beef tartare (didn't enjoy as the chunks were big rather than minced which I like but the prawn chips were good I guess...) and their chap chae - so weak!! came cold and the noodles tasted a bit hard and undercooked.

Ended up leaving with minor sore neck, unsatisfied and overall a very BLAH experience.

Would not recommend!

不過錯有錯著, 我們被安排坐在吧位之上, 也一樣的舒適。更棒的是位置對正廚房, 全無阻隔, 可以看到廚師們在製作一份份的食物, 也是額外的驚喜。噴燒, 快炒, 煎烤, 擺碟, 忙得不可開交但動作俐落, 看著也覺得享受呢。

坐吧位的另外一個好處是, 你所點的食物有機會是由韓籍小廚雙手奉上, 附送亮晶晶的眼神和羞澀可愛的笑容, 一整個package來看, 無價。

不過我還是比較中意自己點的炸雞。賣相很有玩味, 也很佻皮。這個木骰子般的座是特地訂回來的嗎, 感覺用處還蠻單一的, 但很討喜。

炸雞是現炸出來, 有點燙嘴, 皮脆肉嫩的, 很難不好吃。裹上的甜醬不多, 恰恰很對我的喜好。味道微甜, 就算是用來配飯作主菜, 也很適合。但重點要提一下的是小碗中的醃蘿蔔, 極清極甜, 絕對是佳作。

要額外加HK$48的豬腩主菜是Jinjuu最受歡迎的菜。從在吧枱坐下以後, 看到廚房一直有在預備它! 預備功夫繁複, 豬腩肉要先以低溫烹調處理, 再切片, 舖上韓式辣醬與大醬, 最後以火槍燒至嘖香即成。最後吃的時候配上쌈장和生菜, 簡直就是韓風濃濃。

話說回來, 韓國的醬料真的不少。這個쌈장ssamjang 就是一般韓國人吃生菜肉包時用的醬, 主要的材料也就是韓式辣醬與大醬...

石頭飯也非常的好吃, 個人來說, 很喜歡配菜之中加入了酸蘿蔔, 似乎在別的地方所吃的石頭飯都沒有加這種材料? 但那微酸的味道很開胃, 在辣醬之顯中有這一點小清新, 令我很驚喜。只是韓式烤牛的味道比較騷, 若是選豬肉的話, 整體來說會更棒。

如果只看石頭飯的話, 個人比較喜愛同區的JANG。所以下次再來, 一定會點石頭飯以外的東西。

吃完飯才知道, 原來Jinjuu是由英國著名的美籍韓裔廚師Judy Joo主理。她在英國開設的同名餐廳JinJuu自2014年底開張以來一直獲得米芝蓮指南的高度評價。在蘭桂坊的店也配合Judy Joo一貫的理念: 韓國傳統飲食文化要以佳餚配美酒, 滿足味蕾之餘也要富玩味。

失覺了失覺了, 要試真味, 只怕要找天來晚飯一下了?

I decided to explore their lunch set which started at $198 for two courses. An additional dessert would cost just another $40. Not a bad way to start things off around here.

For starter, I elected to go with the Yuja cured salmon with chive creme fraiche and crisp radish salad. Yuja refers to the Korean yuzu which was very refreshing to go with the cured salmon. This tasted a lot like a salmon gravlax but served in tiny little cubes. One would never go wrong with a refreshing starter (Grade: 3/5)!

Out of all the main courses, bibimbap was the easy choice for me. This was served in a traditional stone bowl, with white rice, seasonal vegetables, fried egg and bulgogi (marinated beef). I've had a lot of bibimbaps in 2015, both in Hong Kong as well as Seoul and I have to say, there're tons of them out there that tasted equally as good or better. I'm not impressed (Grade: 2.5/5)!

I knew I had to fit their signature Sae-woo pops ($90) into my lunch agenda somehow. These cute little round prawn cakes were neatly served on sticks with a creamy gochujang mayo on the side. I thought they were pretty tasty but the crispy crust was a little too thick in my opinion (Grade: 3/5).

Of course, we couldn't leave without trying Jinjuu's signature Korean Fried Chicken ("KFC")($115) but sadly this turned out to be the most disappointing dish of the meal. I thought the main culprit of these deep fried chicken thighs and wings was the overly flaky and buttery batter. So it wasn't tasting all that great when the batter kept falling off (Grade: 2/5).

Not even dessert could save the day for us. This makgeolli and white chocolate panna cotta came with the lunch set and looked really good on paper with the right mix in there including mango compote, passion fruit and yuja sorbet, sesame and raspberry kkae kang jung (sesame tuile). But too bad that the texture of the panna cotta was way too soft and watery for my liking (Grade: 3/5).

I haven't had a lot of luck with most of these newbies in recent weeks with the exception of Fish School and the trend has continued with Jinjuu. I thought the setting and service was decent; just that the food wasn't all that attractive.
