le bistro winebeast has been one of my favourite french bistros in hk, and this meal is one of the best that I have tried lately, bravo 👏🏼We were not too hungry, so we ordered 3 starters and 1 main. Beef tartare with fries

Pithivier of pigeon and foie gras

Tarte Tatin - caramelised apple pie, with vanilla icecream

I love everything we ordered, everything was beautifully executed and incredibly delicious.
Especially the blue shrimp tartare and the sea urchin icecream, gave me lots joys on my palate and blew my mind away! The pithivier was superb too, must order!
And we love the dessert apple pie as well.

Everything was so ingenious yet generous in portion, the price tag was really affordable too, good value for money !
However, I think there are still rooms for the service to improve though.. the service and the food quality seem not quite equivalent. 😅
And I think it would be better if they can just get vaccinated and be a type C restaurant, so we don’t have to rush to leave by 10pm 😂

We tried quite a lot of dishes in here, the blue shrimp carpaccio is also highly recommended by others but we haven’t got the chance to try this time😫 Overall worth trying! 我地叫左tasting menu w/ wine pairing 再係 a la carte叫野食。starter PERFECT EGG係Le Bistro Winebeast signature dish 流心蛋黃加上口感幼滑嘅奶油蘆筍湯,仲有巴馬火腿嘅鹹香😚 而餐前酒甜度較高好清爽 十分開胃
至於mains方面,我地最鍾意grilled fish底下個clam chowder 超鮮甜😍 仲有蜆肉 chef話係附近街市買嘅蜆😆
很合襯

口感會較為結實一點,可是卻仍然十分柔軟

他們以反傳統嘅做法,大大舊蘋果肉呈現喺眼前,加上酸酸甜甜的醬汁更是無得頂!
而且在旁的雪糕、忌廉都是自家製作,香甜而幼滑,跟蘋果肉一起食,那味道絕對是一試難忘!

A very nice place to hangout with friends. I absolutely like the beef tartare, very flavorful and authentic. You can choose the side between a salad and fries and I got salad that day. You can also ask for some breads to pair with the beef tartare and it’s really good. The bread was some kind of raisin sourdough type of bread which pairs with the tartare pretty well. We ordered their 4-course Dinner Tasting Menu with Wine-pairing (HK$ 598) and Without wine (HK$ 498).

Every dish was on point 
 Delicious and flavorful. Pretty presentation of the food too! 
 Only thing was portions might be a bit small for hungry men. It was perfect amount for me. 

Their staff could be more attentive. I've asked them a few times for water refill.

Dinner for 2 people (with wine pairing for 1) was : HK$ 1,474

Overall, a good option in the neighborhood for semi-casual French cuisine. Tasty at great value for their sets!
May try their budget-friendly 3-Course Set Lunch next time!

The restaurant is pretty small, and as its name highlight, is a bistro with an emphasis on wines. Decent and relatively comfortable, but the tables are pretty packed so it can feel crowded, but fortunately on the night the restaurant was not too busy so we can enjoy good privacy until the adjacent table has been seated.

There is a tasting menu, but we decided to go a la carte. For starter I had Tartare of Blue Shrimps ($158). The raw blue shrimps are cut into small pieces, then mixed together with purple onion and cucumber to give a nice crunchy texture on top of the soft shrimp meat, with a great seasoning to highlight the sweetness of the shrimp. The herring caviar on top not adds premium to the dish, the savory note enhances the taste to another level. It is a great starter. My wife had the Perfect Egg ($128) which is nice too, but comparing the two the tartare is what I would recommend.

For the main course I opted for the signature Pithivier of Pigeon and Foie Gras ($388). Pithivier is a round, enclosed pie made from puff pastry, decorated with spiral lines on the surface. Wrapping inside with a leaf of cabbage and having pigeon breast and foie gras as fillings, the gamey taste actually goes perfect with the sauce provided, and together with the mushroom on the side is classical example of the great match of the different flavors from the ingredients, reinforcing each other and I think it would be fantastic to have a glass of aged Burgundy together. My wife had the Roasted Lobster ($328) and is also very good.

On the dessert I went for French Artisan Cheese ($168), with five different types of cheese. A good assortment, I also like the chef prepares them in small portions so I can finish all without feeling overwhelming. My wife had the Chocolate Fondant ($98) and is apparently quite sweet for her, but overall enjoyable and giving a good finale for our meal.

Service is decent, and I think they can use more time to explain the dishes to the customers. The bill was $1,459 and reasonable in my opinion. And knowing that the restaurant will organize wine tasting dinner regularly, I would be tempted to return to try that out, to see how well the chef can match her dishes with different wines.

Honestly it was a terrible experience. I went there before and as I rmb the portion wasn't this small at all!! They are charging more now but giving you less. Unless you want to feel like you have eaten nothing after your lunch. I don't think it's a good place to go!!! Let's not talk about the taste, the portion is just unacceptable!!! Totally not worth $298 at all! As for the taste it's just average! Nothing spectacular! A few spoon asparagus soup I was so shocked!!!!

Dessert as well. Normal small portion but the size is more reasonable than the starter and the main...the mille feuille was not crispy at all. Just very average. The Berry sorbet was quite nice but that's it. The chocolate fondant was so so!

All in all, the meal wasn't worth $298 per person at all. Plus 10 percent service charge so more than $300 per person, not worth it at all! Probably a good wonton or beef brisket noodles will be more satisfying, sorry! Service was quite good though but the restaurant is really too small. Feel so packed and too near to each other!!!

份量太少,完全不值!!湯只有幾口,主菜羊只有幾小塊,小孩都不夠吃😤🤬
